    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan dan hasil pendekatan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa (Student Center Learning/SCL) dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan Bahasa Jepang calon pekerja migran Indonesia di LPK Jepang Wind Indonesia. Landasan teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya, yaitu konsep pembelajaran, teori konstruktivisme, andragogi, konsep student center learning, kemampuan bahasa Jepang, dan konsep pendidikan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, studi dokumentasi, serta wawancara dengan pengelola, instruktur, dan peserta pelatihan. Wawancara dilakukan secara semi-terstruktur. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa: 1) penerapan SCL di LPK Jepang Wind Indonesia terintegrasi melalui empat elemen krusial yaitu penggunaan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif seperti simulasi, permainan peran, dan diskusi interaktif, dengan penekanan peran instruktur sebagai fasilitator dan motivator didukung oleh penggunaan media yang mendukung partisipatif peserta seperti modul interaktif, video, dan e-learning, dan sistem evaluasi mencakup tes formatif dan sumatif. 2) hasil penerapan SCL menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada empat kemampuan berbahasa Jepang: berbicara (kaiwa), mendengarkan (choukai), membaca (dokkai), dan menulis (sakubun). Penelitian ini berimplikasi sebagai acuan bagi lembaga pelatihan serupa untuk meningkatkan kompetensi instruktur dalam penerapan SCL, memberikan kajian spesifik dan mendalam tentang efektivitas SCL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Jepang calon pekerja migran. This study aims to describe the application and results of the student center learning (SCL) approach in improving the Japanese language skills of prospective Indonesian migrant workers at LPK Jepang Wind Indonesia. The theoretical foundations used in this study include the concepts of learning, constructivism, andragogy, student center learning, Japanese language skills, and community education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through observation, document analysis, and interviews with managers, instructors, and training participants. Interviews were conducted using a semi-structured approach. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions through data triangulation. Based on the research findings: 1) The implementation of SCL at LPK Jepang Wind Indonesia is integrated through four crucial elements, namely the use of collaborative learning methods such as simulations, role-playing, and interactive discussions, with an emphasis on the instructor's role as a facilitator and motivator, supported by the use of media that encourage participant participation, such as interactive modules, videos, and e-learning, and an evaluation system that includes formative and summative tests. 2) The results of SCL implementation show a significant improvement in four Japanese language skills: speaking (kaiwa), listening (choukai), reading (dokkai), and writing (sakubun).This research has implications as a reference for similar training institutions to improve instructor competence in the application of SCL, providing specific and in-depth studies on the effectiveness of SCL in improving the Japanese language skills of prospective migrant workers.
