    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan mendesak akan media pembelajaran inovatif di Sekolah Dasar yang mampu mengatasi kejenuhan peserta didik, mempermudah pemahaman materi yang luas dan kompleks, serta secara signifikan menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Realita di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa penumbuhan keterampilan berpikir kritis masih menjadi tantangan, sebagian besar karena kurangnya media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan relevan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan, memvalidasi, dan menguji efektivitas e-modul berbasis aplikasi Canva dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SDN 4 Pataruman, Garut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistematis, validasi oleh ahli, serta uji coba produk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, angket (respons peserta didik dan guru), dan tes (pre-test dan post-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis Canva sangat layak digunakan. Validasi dari ahli media memperoleh persentase 90% (Sangat Layak), dan dari ahli materi meraih 92% (Sangat Layak), mengonfirmasi kualitas desain visual, tata letak, fitur interaktif, kebenaran konsep, dan relevansi materi. Respons peserta didik menunjukkan persentase 86% (Sangat Layak), menilai e-modul mempermudah pemahaman materi dan mendukung pembelajaran aktif serta memicu pemikiran kritis. Respons guru mencapai 88.8% (Sangat Layak), menyatakan e-modul membuat pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan efektif dalam memicu pertanyaan serta berpikir kritis. Secara kuantitatif, terjadi peningkatan drastis rata-rata nilai peserta didik dari 60.45 (pre-test) menjadi 88.57 (post-test), melampaui Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Seluruh indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis (Analisis Informasi, Evaluasi Bukti, Sintesis Ide, Penalaran Logis, dan Pertanyaan Kritis) juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori "Cukup" menjadi "Baik" setelah penggunaan e-modul. E-modul berbasis Canva yang dikembangkan tidak hanya valid secara substansi dan tampilan, tetapi juga sangat diterima dan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman materi serta secara signifikan menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V di SDN 4 Pataruman. This study was motivated by the urgent need for innovative learning media in elementary schools that can overcome student boredom, facilitate understanding of broad and complex material, and significantly foster critical thinking skills. The reality in the field shows that fostering critical thinking skills remains a challenge, largely due to a lack of interactive and relevant learning media. The objective of this study is to develop, validate, and test the effectiveness of an e-module based on the Canva application in fostering critical thinking skills among students at SDN 4 Pataruman, Garut. The research method used is the ADDIE model, which involves needs analysis, systematic design, expert validation, and product testing. Data collection was conducted through interviews, questionnaires (student and teacher responses), and tests (pre-test and post-test). The research results indicate that the Canva-based e-module is highly suitable for use. Expert validation from media experts yielded a 90% rating (Highly Feasible), and from content experts a 92% rating (Highly Feasible), confirming the quality of visual design, layout, interactive features, conceptual accuracy, and relevance of the content. Student responses achieved an 86% rating (Highly Feasible), indicating that the e-module facilitates material comprehension, supports active learning, and stimulates critical thinking. Teacher responses reached 88.8% (Very Suitable), stating that the e-module made learning more enjoyable and effective in prompting questions and critical thinking. Quantitatively, there was a significant increase in the average student score from 60.45 (pre-test) to 88.57 (post-test), exceeding the Minimum Competency Criteria (MCC). All critical thinking ability indicators (Information Analysis, Evidence Evaluation, Idea Synthesis, Logical Reasoning, and Critical Questioning) also improved from the “Satisfactory” category to “Good” after using the e-module. The Canva-based e-module developed is not only valid in terms of content and appearance but is also highly accepted and proven effective in enhancing students' understanding of the material and significantly developing their critical thinking skills in Grade 5 at SDN 4 Pataruman.
