    Abstract

    Berdasarkan data Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil pada tahun 2023-2024 jumlah koperasi yang ada di Jawa Barat tercatat 31.935 unit koperasi, namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak koperasi yang memiliki sumber daya manusia yang kurang dalam pengelolaannya dikarenakan kurang mahir dan profesional. Karena pada idealnya seorang pengurus koperasi harus memiliki kompetensi manajerial agar koperasi yang ia kelola jelas dan terarah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode experiential learning dalam pelatihan perkoperasian, dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kompetensi manajerial pengurus koperasi, dan faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Kajian teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah konsep pelatihan, experiential learning, dan kompetensi manajerial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan metode experiential learning dilaksanakan secara bertahap, dimulai dari pengalaman konkret, refleksi, konseptualisasi abstrak, hingga percobaan aktif. Para peserta pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan manajerial, termasuk dalam hal penyusunan rencana kerja, laporan keuangan koperasi, dan pemeriksaan kesehatan koperasi. Faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan pelatihan antara lain fasilitas pembelajaran yang memadai, lingkungan yang kondusif, serta keterlibatan aktif widyaiswara dan pendamping kelas. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat terkait dengan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi modul serta kedisiplinan dalam mengikuti pelatihan. Secara keseluruhan, metode experiential learning berdampak pada peningkatan kompetensi kompetensi manajerial peserta pelatihan koperasi di UPTD P3W Provinsi Jawa Barat. Based on data from the Office of Cooperatives and Small Enterprises, in 2023–2024 there were 31,935 registered cooperatives in West Java. However, in reality, many cooperatives still face challenges in human resources due to a lack of managerial skills and professionalism. Ideally, cooperative managers should possess managerial competencies to ensure the cooperatives they manage are well-organized and goal-oriented. This study aims to describe the implementation of the experiential learning method in cooperative training, its impact on improving the managerial competencies of cooperative managers, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The theoretical framework of this research is based on the concepts of training, experiential learning, and managerial competence. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, and data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that learning through the experiential learning method was conducted in stages, starting from concrete experience, reflection, abstract conceptualization, to active experimentation. Training participants demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge, attitudes, and managerial skills, including in preparing work plans, cooperative financial reports, and conducting cooperative health assessments. Supporting factors for the success of the training included adequate learning facilities, a conducive environment, and the active involvement of instructors and class facilitators. Conversely, inhibiting factors were related to participants’ understanding of the training modules and discipline in attending the sessions. Overall, the experiential learning method has a positive impact on enhancing the managerial competencies of cooperative training participants at the UPTD P3W of West Java Province.
