    Abstract

    ABSTRAK ANALISIS FILTER BUBBLE PADA MEDIA SOSIAL DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP DISTORSI PEMAHAMAN KARAKTER PANCASILA Achdyat 2208976 Idealisme Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia menuntut pemahaman yang utuh, inklusif, dan kontekstual, terlebih dalam era digital yang sarat algoritma dan personalisasi informasi. Fenomena filter bubble di media sosial menciptakan isolasi informasi, memperkuat bias individu, serta menghambat internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila seperti keadilan sosial, gotong royong, toleransi, dan persatuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implikasi filter bubble terhadap distorsi pemahaman karakter Pancasila dan merumuskan strategi pencegahan serta intervensi yang relevan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui diskusi kelompok terfokus (Focus Group Discussion) terhadap informan-informan kunci (pakar Pancasila, pakar teknologi informasi, dan pakar sosiologi) dan informan tambahan (dosen, guru, dan mahasiswa). Lokasi penelitian mencakup dua kota, yaitu Kota Bandung dan Kota Manado, yang merepresentasikan keragaman geografis dan sosio-kultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa filter bubble mempersempit akses terhadap perspektif yang beragam, memperkuat ruang gema informasi, dan menimbulkan penyimpangan dalam pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila. Distorsi ini tidak hanya berdampak secara individual, tetapi juga mengancam kohesi sosial dan integritas ideologi kebangsaan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan penguatan literasi digital berbasis nilai, serta gerakan Masyarakat Sadar Digital (MaSaDi) untuk membangun karakter kebangsaan yang tangguh di tengah tantangan era algoritmik. ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF FILTER BUBBLE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR THE DISTORTION OF PANCASILA CHARACTER COMPREHENSION Achdyat 2208976 The idealism of Pancasila as the foundational ideology of the Indonesian state demands a comprehensive, inclusive, and contextual understanding, particularly in the digital era dominated by algorithms and personalized information. The phenomenon of the filter bubble on social media creates information isolation, reinforces individual biases, and hinders the internalization of Pancasila values such as social justice, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), tolerance, and unity. This study aims to analyze the implications of the filter bubble on the distortion of Pancasila character comprehension and to formulate relevant preventive and intervention strategies. This research employs a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with key informants (experts in Pancasila, information technology, and sociology) and additional informants (lecturers, teachers, and university students). The research was conducted in two cities (Bandung and Manado) which represent Indonesia’s geographical and socio-cultural diversity. The findings reveal that the filter bubble limits access to diverse perspectives, reinforces echo chambers, and leads to a misinterpretation of Pancasila values. This distortion affects not only individuals but also poses a threat to social cohesion and the integrity of national ideology. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen value-based digital literacy and promote the Digital Awareness Society (Masyarakat Sadar Digital / MaSaDi) movement to foster resilient national character in the midst of algorithmic challenges.
