Abstract
Meningkatnya permintaan terhadap jasa tata rias pengantin menjadi fenomena penting dalam perkembangan industri kecantikan, khususnya di sektor informal. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah kesenjangan keterampilan karena tidak semua tenaga kerja memiliki kompetensi sesuai standar industri. LKP Karya Jelita berperan strategis dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang terampil, mandiri, dan siap bersaing melalui program pelatihan tata rias pengantin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran instruktur dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya sebagai fasilitator, motivator, dan evaluator. Landasan teori mengacu pada pendekatan andragogi (Knowles), pembelajaran humanistik (Rogers), pembelajaran sosial (Bandura), serta pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta (Gravells). Tahapan pembelajaran dirujuk dari Mulyasa (perencanaan), Nurhasanah (pelaksanaan), dan Purwanto (evaluasi), sedangkan kompetensi instruktur merujuk pada Permendiknas No. 41 Tahun 2009. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan instruktur, peserta, dan pengelola. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik dan divalidasi dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instruktur berperan penting dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang aplikatif, kontekstual, dan partisipatif. Temuan juga menegaskan bahwa strategi yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta dewasa mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pelatihan sekaligus menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri peserta. Keberhasilan pelatihan ditunjukkan oleh meningkatnya keterampilan teknis, partisipasi aktif, motivasi belajar, serta adanya umpan balik evaluatif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penelitian merekomendasikan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan bagi instruktur dan penguatan sistem evaluasi pembelajaran, sehingga pelatihan di LKP Karya Jelita dapat semakin optimal dalam mendukung pemberdayaan masyarakat serta memenuhi kebutuhan industri kecantikan. The growing demand for bridal makeup services has become a significant phenomenon in the beauty industry, particularly in the informal sector. The main issue that arises is the skills gap, as not all workers possess competencies that meet industry standards. LKP Karya Jelita plays a strategic role in preparing skilled, independent, and competitive workers through its bridal makeup training programs. This study aims to examine the role of instructors in the learning process, specifically as facilitators, motivators, and evaluators. The theoretical framework refers to andragogy (Knowles), humanistic learning (Rogers), social learning (Bandura), and learner-centered approaches (Gravells). The learning stages are based on Mulyasa (planning), Nurhasanah (implementation), and Purwanto (evaluation), while instructor competencies are guided by the Ministry of National Education Regulation No. 41 of 2009. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with instructors, trainees, and managers as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically and validated through source triangulation. The findings reveal that instructors play a central role in creating contextual, practical, and participatory learning. The study also highlights that strategies tailored to adult learners’ characteristics enhance training effectiveness and build participants’ confidence. Training success is indicated by improved technical skills, active participation, increased learning motivation, and constructive feedback. Based on these results, the study recommends continuous professional development for instructors and stronger evaluation systems, so that training at LKP Karya Jelita can be more effective in empowering communities and meeting the growing demands of the beauty industry.
