    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun alat ukur kebermaknaan hidup berdasarkan konsep falsafah Jawa Urip iku Urup dengan metode indigenous. Metode yang digunakan adalah kombinasi metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan model sekuensial eksploratoris. Tahap kualitatif dilakukan sebagai dasar pembuatan item melalui grounded theory dengan pertanyaan terbuka (N = 100) dan dilanjutkan dengan wawancara verifikasi (N = 3). Tahap kuantitatif dilakukan dengan dua studi. Studi pertama sebagai tahap uji coba (N = 1073) menghasilkan enam faktor dengan 26 item berdasarkan analisis item dan eksplorasi model. Pada studi kedua (N = 658) dilakukan konfirmatori faktor analisis dengan nilai indeks kecocokan unidimensional chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 8.530, GFI = 0.730, CFI = 0.665, TLI = 0.636, RMSEA = 0.107, dan SRMR = 0.082; multidimensional first-order chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 2.841, GFI = 0.912, CFI = 0.922, TLI = 0.911, RMSEA = 0.053, dan SRMR = 0.046; dan multidimensional second-order chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 2.828, GFI = 0.909, CFI = 0.920, TLI = 0.912, RMSEA = 0.053, dan SRMR = 0.048. Uji validitas konvergen dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Spearman menggunakan alat ukur Life Regard Index (LRI) r = 0.462, Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) r = 0.594, dan Purpose in Life Scale (PILS) r = 0.488. Reliabilitas yang dihasilkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi dengan koefisien Omega McDonald sebesar 0.930. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan instrumen psikologis berbasis budaya yang relevan dengan masyarakat Jawa, meskipun penerapannya secara praktis masih memerlukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut. This study aims to develop a measure of life meaning based on the Javanese philosophical concept of Urip iku Urup using indigenous methods. The methods used are a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods with an exploratory sequential model. The qualitative phase was conducted as the basis for item development using grounded theory with open-ended questions (N = 100) and followed by verification interviews (N = 3). The quantitative phase was conducted through two studies. The first study served as a pilot phase (N = 1073) and yielded six factors with 26 items based on item analysis and model exploration. In the second study (N = 658), confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with unidimensional fit index values: chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 8.530, GFI = 0.730, CFI = 0.665, TLI = 0.636, RMSEA = 0.107, and SRMR = 0.082; multidimensional first-order chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 2.841, GFI = 0.912, CFI = 0.922, TLI = 0.911, RMSEA = 0.053, and SRMR = 0.046; and multidimensional second-order chi-square = p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 2.828, GFI = 0.909, CFI = 0.920, TLI = 0.912, RMSEA = 0.053, and SRMR = 0.048. Convergent validity was tested using Spearman's correlation test with the Life Regard Index (LRI) r = 0.462, Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) r = 0.594, and Purpose in Life Scale (PILS) r = 0.488. The reliability obtained falls into the very high category with an Omega McDonald coefficient of 0.930. The results of this study contribute to the development of culturally-based psychological instruments that are relevant to Javanese society, although their practical application still requires further exploration.
