Abstract
ABSTRAK Anak usia dini membutuhkan stimulus yang tepat untuk mendukung tumbuh kembanganya secara optimal, termasuk perkembangan bahasa khususnya dalam kemampuan berbicara, bahasa merupakan alat penting untuk mengekspresikan pikiran, perasaan, serta berinteraksi sosial. Kemampuan ini dapat ditumbuhkan melalui kegiatan pembiasaan salah satunya melalui kegiatan jurnal pagi. Berdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan di TK Islam Widya Cendekia menyatakan bahwa kegiatan jurnal pagi ini dilakukan di pagi hari senin-kamis sebelum proses pembelajaran dimulai. Kegiatan jurnal pagi ini berupa lembar kertas kosong yang dimana anak akan menggambar sesuai pengalaman pribadi mereka dan imajinasi mereka, setelah itu anak menceritakan kembali kepada guru atau teman kelasnya apa yang anak gambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pelaksanaan jurnal pagi dan mengetahui dampak jurnal pagi terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Islam Widya Cendekia Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari guru kelas dan 10 anak kelas B4, teknik pengumpulan data meliputi, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, kesimpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan jurnal pagi yang dilakukan secara konsisten dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterampilan bahasa, berbicara, menyimak, menulis serta menyampaikan pendapat dengan lebih percaya diri. Guru juga memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing anak selama kegiatan jurnal pagi berlangsung. Dengan demikian jurnal pagi efektif sebagai media awal pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman yang dapat mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak usia 5-6 tahun. Language is an important tool for expressing thoughts, feelings, and social interaction. This ability can be developed through habituation activities, one of which is through morning journal activities. Based on initial observations conducted at Widya Cendekia Islamic Kindergarten, it was stated that this morning journal activity was carried out in the morning Monday-Thursday before the learning process began. This morning journal activity was in the form of blank sheets of paper where children would draw based on their personal experiences and their imagination, after which the children recounted to the teacher or their classmates what the children drew. This study aims to describe the implementation of morning journals and determine the impact of morning journals on the language development of children aged 5-6 years at Widya Cendekia Islamic Kindergarten, Serang City. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of class teachers and 10 children in class B4, data collection techniques included observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques, data collection, data reduction, data conclusions. Research results show that consistent morning journaling can positively impact language skills, including speaking, listening, and writing, as well as improving the ability to express opinions with greater confidence. Teachers also play a crucial role in guiding children during the morning journaling activity. Therefore, morning journaling is an effective initial tool for experiential learning that can support the language development of children aged 5-6 years.
