Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh suatu permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas yaitu rendahnya keterampilan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VIII-B MTs. Al-Misbah. Kerjasama merupakan keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh semua orang, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama salah satunya melalui pembelajaran IPS. Keterampilan kerjasama dapat membuat siswa menjadi terbiasa untuk Melatih kreativitas dan mengambil keputusan untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah bersama anggota kelompok. Pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama melalui model student team achievement division (STAD) yang bertujuan untuk membuat siswa saling membantu satu sama lain agar mendapatkan hasil belajar yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya meningkatkan kerjasama siswa melalui model pembelajaran student team achievement division (STAD) dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian PTK model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 siklus yang terdiri dari 2 tindakan setiap siklusnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa kelas VIII-B MTs. Al-Misbah mengalami peningkatan keterampilan kerjasama yang mencapai kategori sangat baik ditunjukan dalam tercapainya indikator kerjasama yaitu anak dapat bergabung bersama kelompok, setiap anggota ikut memecahkan masalah dalam kelompok, menghargai kontribusi setiap anggota kelompok, setiap anggota mengambil giliran dan berbagi tugas, mengerjakan tugas yang menjadi tanggung jawabnya, menyerahkan tugas tepat waktu, anak dapat menghargai karya atau hasil kerja temannya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran student team achievement division (STAD) dalam mengatasi rendahnya kerjasama tercapai. Penggunaan model pembelajaran STAD dapat dimanfaatkan oleh siapapun untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran agar lebih baik. This research is motivated by a problem found in the classroom, namely the low cooperation skills of students in Social Studies learning in Grade VIII-B MTs. Al-Misbah. Cooperation is a skill that everyone should possess, and one way to improve cooperation skills is through Social Studies learning. Cooperation skills can help students become accustomed to practicing creativity and making decisions to solve problems together with group members. An effective approach to enhance cooperation skills is the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model, which aims to encourage students to help each other in order to achieve better learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to examine efforts to improve students’ cooperation through the STAD learning model in Social Studies learning. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles, with two actions in each cycle. The results showed that the cooperation skills of Grade VIII-B MTs. Al-Misbah students improved to the “very good” category, as indicated by the achievement of cooperation indicators, namely: students joining groups, all members participating in problem-solving, appreciating each member’s contributions, taking turns and sharing tasks, completing assigned responsibilities, submitting tasks on time, and appreciating the work or results of their peers. It can be concluded that the STAD learning model successfully addressed the low cooperation issue. The use of the STAD model can be applied by educators to improve the quality of learning for better outcomes.
