    Abstract

    Eksplorasi ide matematis dalam budaya lokal menjadi hal penting agar dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam bahan ajar sehingga pembelajaran matematika menjadi kontekstual, relevan, dan bermakna. Rumah Bubungan Tinggi (RBT) milik suku Banjar Kalimantan Selatan memuat beragam struktur dan ornamen yang sarat dengan pola, bilangan, simetri, dan logika spasial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis eksplorasi untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengonstruksi ide-ide matematis yang terkandung dalam arsitektur dan ukiran RBT. Hasil eksplorasi menunjukkan adanya konsep matematika seperti pola berulang, barisan aritmetika, pemetaan surjektif, grup siklik dan abelian, modulo 3 dan 8, transformasi geometri, hingga barisan Fibonacci, yang berpadu dengan falsafah budaya Banjar. Temuan ini kemudian diintegrasikan dalam rancangan pembelajaran dan salah satunya dijadikan bahan ajar yang diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran matematika kelas IX SMP. Respons guru dan siswa menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan, pemahaman konsep, serta apresiasi terhadap nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Kajian ini menegaskan potensi besar etnomatematika dalam memperkuat identitas budaya sekaligus memperkaya pendekatan pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya. The exploration of mathematical ideas within local culture is essential to integrate them into teaching materials so that mathematics learning becomes contextual, relevant, and meaningful. The Rumah Bubungan Tinggi (RBT) of the Banjar people in South Kalimantan contains various structures and ornaments rich in patterns, numbers, symmetry, and spatial logic. This study employed a qualitative, exploration-based approach to identify and construct mathematical ideas embedded in the architecture and carvings of RBT. The findings revealed the presence of mathematical concepts such as repeating patterns, arithmetic sequences, surjective mappings, cyclic and abelian groups, modulo 3 and 8, geometric transformations, and even the Fibonacci sequence, all intertwined with Banjar cultural philosophy. These findings were then integrated into instructional design, with one of the outputs developed into teaching materials implemented in Grade IX junior high school mathematics. Teacher and student responses indicated enhanced engagement, improved conceptual understanding, and greater appreciation of local cultural values. This study highlights the significant potential of ethnomathematics to strengthen cultural identity while enriching culturally based approaches to mathematics education.
