    Abstract

    Keberagaman suku bangsa di Indonesia menuntut pentingnya pendidikan nilai sejak dini untuk membentuk karakter toleran pada anak. Salah satu nilai dasar yang perlu ditanamkan adalah nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai pedoman dalam bersikap dan berperilaku sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila dengan sikap siswa terhadap teman yang berbeda suku. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Majalaya 02, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode korelasional. Responden penelitian berjumlah 85 siswa kelas V dan VI yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket skala Likert dan wawancara sebagai data pendukung. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila berada dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan sikap terhadap teman yang berbeda suku termasuk kategori baik. Uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara kedua variabel, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,901 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Artinya, semakin tinggi pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila, semakin baik pula sikap toleransi yang ditunjukkan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan pembiasaan positif di lingkungan sekolah. Kata kunci: Nilai-nilai pancasila, sikap siswa, toleransi, keberagaman Indonesia’s ethnic diversity requires the importance of value-based education from an early age to develop students’ tolerance and character. One of the key values that must be instilled is Pancasila, which serves as a moral foundation in social behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between students’ understanding of Pancasila values and their attitudes toward peers of different ethnic backgrounds. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Majalaya 02 using a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The respondents were 85 students from grades V and VI, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and interviews as supporting data. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test, and Pearson correlation test. The results showed that students’ understanding of Pancasila values was categorized as high, while their attitudes toward peers from different ethnic groups were classified as good. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a very strong and significant relationship between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient of 0.901 and a significance value of 0.000. This indicates that the higher the students’ understanding of Pancasila values, the better their tolerance toward diversity. The study recommends strengthening character education based on Pancasila values through contextual learning and positive school culture.
