Abstract

Penelitianinididasarkanpadapermasalahanpentingnya kemampuanberpikirkreatifmatematisdankemandirianbelajarsiswadalampembelajaranmatematika.Untukmengatasihaltersebut,dilakukanpenelitiandenganmenggunakanpembelajaranSnow Ball Rolling.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran snow ball rolling dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen Non-equivalen Control Group Design dengan menggunakanteknikPurposive Sampling. Pelaksanaanpenelitiandilakukandisalah satu SMP Negeri yang ada di kabupaten Pandeglang, dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VII semester I sebanyak dua kelas, terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 32 siswa kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari instrumen berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan angket skala kemandirian belajar. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif, terhadap data pretes, postes dan gain ternormalisasi dengan menggunakan uji-t, sedangkan skala kemandirian belajar menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran snow ball rolling lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. Kata Kunci: pembelajaransnow ball rolling, kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan kemandirian belajar siswa. This research is based on theimportance of students’ ability in mathematic creative thinking and their self regulated learning in learning mathematics. To overcome those problem, the research was conducted by using Snow Ball Rolling. This research aims to analyze the increasing of students’ ability in mathematic creative thinking and self regulated learning between the students who gained snow ball rolling comparedto students who gained direct instruction. The design of this research was quasi experimental with non-equivalen control group design by using purposive sampling technique. The research setting was one of Junior High School in Pandeglang Regency with the sample was grade VII in the first semester in two classes, consist of 30 students in experiment class and 32 students in control class. The research data was collected from instrument of testing for students’ abilityin mathematic creative thinking and questionnaire scale about self regulated learning. The data analysis was done quantitatively toward the pre test data, post test data, and normalized gain by using t-test. The scale of self regulated learning used Mann Whitney testing and Kolmogorov-Smirnov testing. The result of research indicated that the increasing of students’ ability in mathematic creative thinking and self regulated learning who gained snow ball rolling is better than students’ who gained direct instruction.
