    Abstract

    Dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi, keterampilan menjaga komunikasi (maintaining communication) penting untuk keberhasilan akademik dan integrasi sosial mahasiswa. Namun, keterampilan ini tidak berkembang optimal akibat perbedaan karakteristik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi pembelajaran adaptif berbasis forward chaining yang menganalisis indikator perkuliahan untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi pembelajaran untuk mendukung keterampilan maintaining communication. Metode yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan model Smart Learning Environment Establishment Guideline (SLEEG). Sistem dibangun dengan basis pengetahuan aturan IF-THEN untuk menelusuri karakteristik mahasiswa dan memetakan rekomendasi strategi pembelajaran kontekstual. Dataset angkatan 2023 digunakan untuk membentuk pola aturan, sedangkan dataset 2024 sebagai implementasi. Hasil rekomendasi menunjukkan perbedaan strategi pada dataset 2023 yang cenderung menghasilkan strategi aktif dan kompleks, sedangkan dataset 2024 mengarah pada penguatan dasar. Evaluasi peer assessment pada aspek maintaining communication dengan uji statistik deskriptif menghasilkan kategori baik dengan rata-rata 3,74 dan standar deviasi 0,27. Kelompok mahasiswa sesuai hasil rekomendasi memperoleh rata-rata 3,83 dengan variasi 0,21. Skor SUS memperoleh rata-rata 83,44 yang mengindikasikan sistem memiliki tingkat kegunaan yang sangat baik. In the context of higher education, communication skills are important for academic success and social integration of students. However, these skills do not develop optimally due to differences in student characteristics. This study developed an adaptive learning recommendation system based on forward chaining that analyzes academic process indicators to generate recommendations to support maintaining communication skills. The method used was research and development (R&D) with the Smart Learning Environment Establishment Guideline (SLEEG) model. The system was built with an IF-THEN rule knowledge base to trace student characteristics and map contextual learning strategy recommendations. The 2023 dataset was used to form rule patterns, while the 2024 dataset was used for implementation. The recommendation results showed differences in strategies in the 2023 dataset, which tended to produce active and complex strategies, while the 2024 dataset led to basic reinforcement. Peer assessment evaluation on the aspect of maintaining communication with descriptive statistical tests resulted in a good category with an average of 3.74 and a standard deviation of 0.27. The group of students according to the recommendation results obtained an average of 3.83 with a variation of 0.21. The SUS score obtained an average of 83.44, indicating that the system has an excellent level of usability.
