    Abstract

    Hambatan belajar yang dialami banyak siswa pada materi garis singgung lingkaran berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi jenis hambatan belajar yang dialami siswa SMA, (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebabnya, dan (3) merumuskan lintasan belajar untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus deskriptif, melibatkan 36 siswa kelas XI dan seorang guru matematika di Kota Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hambatan belajar, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga jenis hambatan belajar: (1) ontogenik, terkait keterbatasan psikologis dan penguasaan prosedur siswa; (2) didaktik, akibat penyajian materi yang terlalu cepat dan minimnya media pembelajaran; dan (3) epistemologis, berupa miskonsepsi konsep yang berakar pada lemahnya kemampuan visualisasi spasial. Faktor penyebabnya meliputi faktor internal seperti rendahnya motivasi, ketidaksiapan mental, dan lemahnya kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam visualisasi spasial. Selain itu, terdapat faktor eksternal berupa metode pembelajaran yang terlalu cepat dan kurangnya variasi media, lingkungan kelas yang tidak mendukung, serta keterbatasan fasilitas pembelajaran. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah perancangan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) yang sistematis. Lintasan ini menerapkan Theory of Didactical Situations untuk membangun pemahaman siswa secara bertahap melalui eksplorasi, penemuan konsep, konstruksi rumus, dan aplikasi kontekstual. The learning obstacles experienced by many students in the topic of circle tangent lines impact their low understanding of concepts and geometric problem-solving abilities. This study aims to (1) identify the types of learning obstacles experienced by high school students, (2) analyze the contributing factors, and (3) formulate a learning trajectory to overcome them. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, involving 36 eleventh-grade students and a mathematics teacher in Bandung City, West Java Province. Data were collected through a learning obstacle test, interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed three types of learning obstacles: (1) ontogenical, related to students' psychological limitations and mastery of procedures; (2) didactical, resulting from a presentation of material that is too fast and a lack of learning media; and (3) epistemological, in the form of conceptual misconceptions rooted in weak spatial visualization abilities. The contributing factors include internal factors such as low motivation, mental unpreparedness, and weak cognitive abilities of students in spatial visualization. In addition, there are external factors in the form of teaching methods that are too fast and lack media variation, an unsupportive classroom environment, and limited learning facilities. The proposed solution is the design of a systematic Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). This trajectory applies the Theory of Didactical Situations to build student understanding gradually through exploration, concept discovery, formula construction, and contextual application.
