    Abstract

    Pesatnya pertukaran informasi digital menuntut adanya perlindungan data yang lebih kuat. Kriptografi dapat menyamarkan data, namun masih dapat menimbulkan kecurigaan karena bentuk yang dienkripsi terlihat tidak wajar. Steganografi menjadi solusi dengan menyembunyikan data tersebut kedalam media, seperti gambar. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan kombinasi kriptografi Advanced Encryption Standard-128 dan steganografi Pixel Value Differencing (PVD) untuk mengamankan data teks pada citra berwarna menggunakan bahasa Python. Proses meliputi enkripsi, embedding, ekstraksi, dekripsi, serta pengujian kualitas citra dengan Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). Hasil menunjukkan citra memiliki kualitas baik dengan nilai PSNR lebih dari 30 dB, sehingga perubahan visual sulit dideteksi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kombinasi AES-128 dan PVD efektif untuk perlindungan ganda, yaitu dari segi keamanan isi dan penyamaran eksistensi pesan. The rapid exchange of digital information requires stronger data protection. Cryptography can disguise data, but it may still raise suspicion since encrypted forms often appear unnatural. Steganography offers a solution by hiding the data within media such as images. This study implements a combination of Advanced Encryption Standard-128 (AES-128) cryptography and Pixel Value Differencing (PVD) steganography to secure text data in color images using Python. The process includes encryption, embedding, extraction, decryption, and image quality testing with Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). The results show that the images maintain good quality with PSNR values above 30 dB, making visual changes difficult to detect. This study demonstrates that the combination of AES-128 and PVD is effective for dual protection, both in securing message content and concealing its existence.
