    Abstract

    Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan sosial emosional anak yang mempengaruhi keberanian, kemampuan berinteraksi serta kesiapan menghadapi tantangan. Kegiatan gerak dan lagu diyakini sebagai media ekspresi anak dalam menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri, khususnya melalui Tari Medley Nusantara yang memadukan unsur budaya dari berbagai daerah Indonesia secara menarik dan menyenangkan bagi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan tari medley nusantara untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak di TK Islam Widya Cendekia. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah intervensi melalui tari medley sebagai strategi pembelajaran alternatif untuk mengembangkan aspek kepercayaan diri pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan atau Action Research (AR) model Kemmis & McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah anak yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Medley Nusantara mampu meningkatkan tiga indikator anak yaitu : keyakinan diri, berani dan berpikiran positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan kepada guru dan sekolah agar menjadikan kegiatan gerak dan lagu sebagai metode pembelajaran untuk mendukung perkembangan sosial emosional serta membentuk karakter dan potensi anak secara menyeluruh. Self-confidence is an important aspect of children’s socio-emotional development, influencing their courage, ability to interact, and readiness to face challenges. Movement and song activities are believed to be a medium for children’s expression in fostering self-confidence, particularly through the Tari Medley Nusantara, which combines cultural elements from various regions of Indonesia in an engaging and enjoyable way for children. This study aims to describe the implementation of Tari Medley Nusantara to enhance the self-confidence of children at TK Islam Widya Cendekia. The main focus of this research is the intervention through medley dance as an alternative learning strategy to develop self-confidence in early childhood. The study employed the Action Research (AR) method using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were children participating in extracurricular dance activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that Tari Medley Nusantara was able to improve three key indicators of children’s development, namely self-belief, courage, and positive thinking. Based on these findings, it is recommended that teachers and schools adopt movement and song activities as a learning method to support socio-emotional development while fostering children’s character and potential holistically.
