Abstract
Keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang menghambat optimalisasi pembelajaran, dapat mengarah pada rendahnya pemahaman siswa dalam memahami sebuah konsep terutama materi IPAS. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangakan serta melihat sejauhmana efektivitas media pembelajaran e-book Siair dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa terutama pada pembelajaran IPAS materi siklus air. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) dan desain penelitian pra- eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan 18 orang siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan dengan jumlah 30 orang siswa kelas V SD Negeri yang ada di salah satu kecamatan Pamulihan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli dan tes pemahaman konsep IPAS materi siklus air. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media menunjukkan bahwa media e-book Siair layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, dengan persentae 95% dengan kategori sangat baik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Normalitas, sehubung dengan hasilnya data tersebut normal, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji-t dan uji N-Gain. Hasil uji paired t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest (Sig. < 0,05). Besar peningkatan pemahaman dihitung dengan N-Gain berada pada kategori tinggi, yang menunjukkan bahwa media ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka E- Book Siair Materi Siklus Air dinyatakan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS materi siklus air di sekolah dasar. Therefore, this study aims to develop and see the extent of the effectiveness of the Siair e-book learning media in improving students' conceptual understanding, especially in science and natural sciences learning on the water cycle. The research method used is the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) development model and a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design research design. The subjects of this study used 18 male students and 12 female students with a total of 30 fifth grade students of a public elementary school in one of the Pamulihan districts. The instruments used were expert validation sheets and a test of understanding the concept of science and natural sciences on the water cycle. The validation results by media experts showed that the Siair e- book media was suitable for use in learning, with a percentage of 95% in the very good category. The data analysis technique used the Normality test, in connection with the results of the data being normal, then continued with the t-test and N-Gain test. The results of the paired t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (Sig. < 0.05). The magnitude of the increase in understanding calculated by N-Gain was in the high category, which indicated that this media was effective in improving students' conceptual understanding. Based on the results of the study, the Siair E-Book on the Water Cycle Material was declared effective for use in science learning on the water cycle material in elementary schools.
