    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis dan makna tindak tutur ilokusi yang digunakan oleh Presiden Yoon Seok Yeol dalam pernyataannya mengenai deklarasi darurat militer pada 3 Desember 2024. Deklarasi tersebut merupakan Responss terhadap ketegangan politik di Korea Selatan yang melibatkan konflik antara pemerintah dan oposisi. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik dengan teori tindak tutur ilokusi dari Searle sebagai landasan analisis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa simak dan catat terhadap transkrip resmi pidato deklarasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tindak tutur ilokusi yang dominan adalah asertif, diikuti oleh komisif, direktif, ekspresif, dan deklaratif. Tindak tutur tersebut berfungsi untuk menyampaikan informasi, membangun legitimasi, memengaruhi opini publik, serta mengukuhkan posisi politik presiden dalam situasi krisis. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap kajian pragmatik, khususnya dalam konteks komunikasi politik formal yang berdampak luas terhadap masyarakat. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga memberikan wawasan mengenai hubungan antara bahasa, kekuasaan, dan strategi komunikasi dalam wacana politik Korea Selatan. This study aims to analyze the types and meanings of illocutionary speech acts employed by President Yoon Seok Yeol in his official statement declaring martial law on December 3, 2024. The declaration was issued in Responsse to escalating political tensions in South Korea, marked by conflicts between the government and the opposition. Utilizing a pragmatic approach, this research adopts Searle’s theory of illocutionary acts as the primary analytical framework. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation and documentation of the official transcript of the presidential address. The findings reveal that the most dominant type of illocutionary act is assertive, followed by commissive, directive, expressive, and declarative acts. These speech acts serve various communicative functions, including conveying information, establishing political legitimacy, shaping public opinion, and reinforcing the president’s position during a national crisis. This study contributes to the field of pragmatics by providing insights into how language is strategically utilized in formal political discourse to achieve specific communicative and ideological goals. Moreover, it offers a deeper understanding of the interplay between language, power, and political communication in the context of South Korean leadership rhetoric. 본 연구는 2024년 12월 3일 윤석열 대통령이 발표한 계엄령 선포 연설에 나타난 화행의 유형과 의미를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 계엄령은 정부와 야당 간의 갈등으로 인해 고조된 한국의 정치적 긴장 상황에 대한 대응으로 선포되었다. 본 연구는 언어 사용의 맥락을 중시하는 화용론적 접근을 바탕으로 서얼(Searle)의 발화행위 이론을 주요 분석 틀로 삼았다. 연구 방법으로는 질적 기술 연구 방법을 사용하였으며, 대통령 공식 발표문의 전사 자료를 중심으로 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 가장 많이 사용된 화행 유형은 서술행(진술형)으로 나타났으며, 그 외에도 약속행, 지시행, 표현행, 선언행이 포함되었다. 이러한 화행들은 정보를 전달하고, 정치적 정당성을 구축하며, 대중의 여론을 형성하고, 국가 위기 상황에서 대통령의 입장을 강화하는 데 사용되었다. 본 연구는 정치적 담화에서 언어가 전략적으로 어떻게 사용되는지를 보여주며, 특히 한국 정치 담화에서의 권력과 언어, 화자의 의도 간의 상호작용을 이해하는 데 기여할 수 있다
