    Abstract

    Masa usia dini merupakan periode krusial dalam menentukan kualitas pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak, yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh pola konsumsi makanan, termasuk camilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan orang tua terhadap kandungan gizi dalam makanan ringan serta menganalisis hubungannya dengan pola konsumsi camilan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Instrumen utama berupa kuesioner tertutup berbasis skala Likert yang mencakup indikator pengetahuan gizi, persepsi terhadap makanan ringan, dan kebiasaan konsumsi anak. Populasi penelitian adalah ibu yang memiliki anak usia 1–5 tahun di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Gunungsari, Kota Cirebon. Sebanyak 159 responden dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS versi 30 melalui teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pengetahuan orang tua tentang kandungan gizi dengan pemilihan makanan ringan anak (r = 0,758; p < 0,01). Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya edukasi gizi sebagai intervensi preventif untuk menekan risiko gizi buruk, obesitas, maupun stunting pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan literasi gizi di tingkat keluarga melalui sinergi antara pemerintah, tenaga kesehatan, dan institusi pendidikan anak. ----- Early childhood is a crucial period in determining the quality of children's growth and development, which is greatly influenced by food consumption patterns, including snacks. This study aims to determine the level of parental knowledge regarding the nutritional content of snacks and analyze its relationship to children's snack consumption patterns. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The main instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale that covered indicators of nutritional knowledge, perceptions of snacks, and children's consumption habits. The study population was mothers with children aged 1–5 years in the Gunungsari Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area, Cirebon City. A total of 159 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 30 using descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The results showed a significant and positive relationship between parental knowledge of nutritional content and children's snack choices (r = 0.758; p < 0.01). These findings reinforce the importance of nutrition education as a preventive intervention to reduce the risk of malnutrition, obesity, and stunting in early childhood. This study recommends strengthening nutritional literacy at the family level through synergy between the government, health workers, and children's educational institutions.
