Abstract

Skripsi dengan judul “Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Dengan Pendekatan Scientific Pada Mata Pelajaran Basic Skill Epu Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa” merupakan penelitian kuantitatif model eksperimen menggunakan desain Pre-Experimental dengan bentuk One Group Pretest-Posttest Design yang dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas X jurusan Elektronika Pesawat Udara (EPU) di SMK Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik ditinjau dari aspek kognitif, pada mata pelajaran Basic Skill EPU. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes awal (pretest) kepada satu kelompok yang disebut sebagai kelas eksperimen. Kemudian diberi perlakuan (treatment) dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan ilmiah Scientific, selanjutnya diberikan tes akhir (posttest) pada akhir pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ditinjau dari aspek kognitif menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas penelitian mengalami peningkatan (gain normalized) sebesar 0,50 atau 50% (kategori sedang), dengan nilai rata-rata pretest peserta didik sebesar 60,07 dan nilai rata-rata posttest peserta didik sebesar 78,45. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan Scientific dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dalam pembelajaran Basic Skill EPU pada materi alat ukur listrik ohm meter, ditinjau dari hasil pembelajaran aspek kognitif dimana 37% peserta didik memperoleh skor peningkatan (gain) hasil belajar berkategori rendah, 22,2 % peserta didik memperoleh skor peningkatan (gain) hasil belajar berkategori sedang dan 40,7% peserta didik memperoleh skor peningkatan (gain) hasil belajar berkategori tinggi. Thesis with the title "Problem Based Learning Model Learning Effectiveness With Scientific In Learning Basic Skills EPU On The Results Of The Study " is an quantitative reseacrh by model experimental study conducted for Pre-Experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design in class X Aircraft Electrical Department at Vocational High School 12 Bandung Academic Year 2013/2014 . This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model Problem Based Learning with a scientific in improving student learning outcomes in terms of cognitive on the subjects of Basic Skills EPU. The method used is the Description Research Method by providing the initial test (pretest) to one group as eksperimen class. Then treated (treatment) by applying a learning model Problem Based Learning with a scientific, the final stage by giving the final test (posttest). The results of the research in terms of cognitive learning outcomes indicate that the experimental class had increased (gain normalized) of 0.49 or 49% (medium category), with an average value of 54,37 student pretest and posttest mean score of participants learners at 75,14 . Based on the results of the study showed that the application of learning models Problem Based Learning with a scientific can improve the effectiveness of the learning material Basic Skills EPU of electrical measuring instruments ohm meter in terms of cognitive learning outcomes in which 37 % of students obtained a score improvement (N-gain ) low categorized, 22,2 % of students obtained a score improvement (N-gain ) medium categorized and 40,7 % of students obtained a score improvement (N-gain ) high categorized.
