    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak pola asuh orang tua terhadap sikap peduli sosial anak usia dini. Fokus penelitian ini meliputi bentuk pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua, interaksi sosial anak di lingkungan keluarga, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keterkaitan antara pola asuh dan sikap peduli sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari anak usia 5–6 tahun dan orang tua mereka di wilayah Purwakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi non-partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai pola asuh yang diterapkan, antara lain pola asuh otoriter, permisif, demokratis, dan penelantaran, yang masing-masing memberikan pengaruh berbeda terhadap perkembangan sikap peduli sosial anak. Anak yang diasuh dengan pola demokratis cenderung menunjukkan sikap sosial positif, seperti tolong-menolong, toleransi, dan empati, sementara pola asuh otoriter atau permisif cenderung menghasilkan perilaku sosial yang kurang optimal. Faktor-faktor seperti latar belakang pendidikan orang tua, status sosial ekonomi, kepribadian orang tua, serta lingkungan sosial turut memengaruhi pola asuh yang diterapkan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi orang tua dan pendidik untuk menerapkan pola asuh yang mendukung perkembangan sosial anak secara optimal. ----- This study aims to describe the impact of parenting styles on the social care attitudes of early childhood. The focus includes the types of parenting applied by parents, children's social interactions within the family environment, and the factors influencing the relationship between parenting and social care attitudes. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consist of children aged 5–6 years and their parents in the Purwakarta area. Data collection techniques include non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that various parenting styles are applied, including authoritarian, permissive, democratic, and neglectful styles, each having a different impact on the development of children’s social care attitudes. Children raised with a democratic parenting style tend to display positive social behaviors, such as helpfulness, tolerance, and empathy, while authoritarian or permissive styles are associated with less optimal social behavior. Factors such as parents' educational background, socio-economic status, personality, and social environment influence the parenting style used. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for parents and educators in applying parenting approaches that optimally support children's social development.
