Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai KKM siswa pada operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangam bilangan bulat, hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman matematis siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahamann matematis siswa pada operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat dengan menggunakan media garis bilangan pipa berwarna. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), sedangan model yang digunakan yaitu model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Setelah menggunakan media garis bilangan pipa berwarna pada proses pembelajaran diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: aktivitas guru pada waktu belajar mengajar pada siklus I guru kurang bisa mengkondisikan siswa, dan memotivasi siswa untuk lebih aktif. Sedangkan pada siklus II adanya peningkatan dari siklus I,pada siklus II siswa lebih fokus, tertib, dan dapat dikondisikan dibandingkan dari siklus I, siswa lebih aktif dibandingkan dengan siklus I. Sedangkan pada pemahaman matematis siswa, adanya peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II, pada siklus I siswa yang mencapai KKM 70,9% yaitu 22 orang siswa sedangkan yang tidak mencapai KKM 29,1% yaitu 9 orang. Pada siklus II siswa yang mencapai KKM 93,5% yaitu 29 orang sedangkan siswa yang belum mencapai KKM 3,5% yaitu 2 orang sehingga kita dapat melihat dari hasil persentase peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media garis bilangan pipa berwarna dapat meningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa dan dapat meningkatkan aktifitas siswa di kelas IVB SDN 4 Cibogo kecamatan Lembang kabuptaten Bandung Barat. This research is motivated by the low value of the KKM students on arithmetic operations of addition and subtraction of integers, it is caused by a lack of mathematical understanding students' learning of mathematics. The purpose of this research is to improve students' understanding of mathematical operations of addition and subtraction of numbers count bulatdengan using the number line pipe colored media. The method used in this study using Classroom Action Research (CAR), while the model used is modelyang developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart with the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. After using medium-colored piping on the number line learning process obtained the following results: activity teacher at the time of teaching and learning in the first cycle teachers are less able to condition students, and motivate students to be more active. While an increase in the second cycle of the first cycle, the second cycle students are more focused, orderly, and can be conditioned in comparison of the first cycle, students are more active than the cycle I. While the mathematical understanding of students, an increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, in the first cycle of students who achieve a 70.9% KKM is 22 students while 29.1% did not reach the KKM 9 people. In the second cycle students who achieve KKM 93.5% ie 29 people, while students who have not reached 3.5% KKM is 2 people so that we can see from the results of the percentage increase in students' mathematical understanding. It can be concluded that the use of the number line pipe colored media can improve students' mathematical understanding and can increase the activity of students in grade 4 Cibogo districts IVB SDN Lembang district West Bandung.
