    Abstract

    Fenomena brain drain di Indonesia, yang diperkuat tren #KaburAjaDulu, mencerminkan ketidakpuasan generasi muda terhadap kondisi sosial-ekonomi dan ketenagakerjaan. Minimnya pemahaman publik serta krisis kepercayaan ini menegaskan urgensi penelitian melalui perancangan video dokumenter sebagai media edukasi untuk menggugah kesadaran, membangun dialog, dan mencegah kehilangan talenta bangsa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada dua hal: (1) perancangan video dokumenter #KaburAjaDulu sebagai media edukasi fenomena brain drain, dan (2) respons audiens terhadap video tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan practice-led research. Alur perancangan karya dilakukan melalui lima tahap sistematis: persiapan, imajinasi, pengembangan imajinasi, pengerjaan, dan hasil karya. Proses penelitian ini melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan mahasiswa serta praktisi SDM, dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian ditriangulasikan dan dianalisis untuk membangun struktur naratif dan visual dokumenter. Hasilnya adalah video dokumenter berdurasi 24 menit 50 detik berjudul "Alarm Brain Drain: Menguak Fenomena #KaburAjaDulu di Indonesia". Temuan membuktikan keberhasilannya dalam memperluas pemahaman audiens mengenai brain drain sebagai isu struktural yang kompleks (25% pemahaman bertambah, 75% meluas). Dokumenter ini juga berhasil membangkitkan respons emosional dan reflektif pada mayoritas responden (91,1%) serta mendorong hampir seluruh audiens (94,6%) untuk berpikir kritis dan bertindak. Disimpulkan bahwa dokumenter yang dirancang melalui riset ini berfungsi dengan baik tidak hanya sebagai media edukasi, tetapi juga sebagai sarana advokasi sosial. Karya ini mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran, refleksi, dan aksi kolektif, membuktikan perannya sebagai media edukasi yang relevan untuk isu sosial kompleks di kalangan generasi muda. -------- The brain drain phenomenon in Indonesia, reinforced by the #KaburAjaDulu trend, reflects the dissatisfaction of the younger generation with socio-economic and employment conditions. The lack of public understanding and the crisis of confidence underscore the urgency of research through the design of documentary videos as an educational medium to raise awareness, build dialogue, and prevent the loss of national talent. This research focuses on two things: (1) the design of the #KaburAjaDulu documentary video as an educational medium on the brain drain phenomenon, and (2) the audience's response to the video. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a practice-led research approach. The design process was carried out through five systematic stages: preparation, imagination, imagination development, execution, and final product. The research process involved data collection through observation, in-depth interviews with students and HR practitioners, and documentation studies. The data obtained was then triangulated and analyzed to construct a narrative and visual structure for the documentary. The result is a 24-minute 50-second documentary video titled “Alarm Brain Drain: Menguak Fenomena #KaburAjaDulu di Indonesia”. The findings prove its success in broadening the audience's understanding of brain drain as a complex structural issue (25% increase in understanding, 75% expansion). This documentary also succeeded in evoking an emotional and reflective response in the majority of respondents (91.1%) and encouraged almost the entire audience (94.6%) to think critically and take action. It was concluded that this research-based documentary functioned well not only as an educational medium but also as a means of social advocacy. This work was able to foster awareness, reflection, and collective action, proving its role as a relevant educational medium for complex social issues among the younger generation.
