Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi pelatihan paduan suara yang diterapkan oleh SMAK Kalam Kudus Bandung dalam menghadapi kompetisi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi non-partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi pelatih utama, pelatih pendamping, dan anggota aktif paduan suara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pelatihan yang diterapkan meliputi tiga aspek utama: penguasaan teknik vokal (pernapasan, artikulasi, intonasi), penguatan kolaborasi dan interaksi sosial antar anggota, serta pembentukan mental kompetitif melalui simulasi dan evaluasi performa. Pelatihan dilakukan secara terstruktur dan progresif, disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan masing-masing anggota. Keberhasilan paduan suara dalam meraih prestasi di berbagai kompetisi nasional menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pelatihan yang holistik dan kolaboratif mampu meningkatkan kualitas vokal dan kekompakan tim secara signifikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi pelatihan paduan suara di lingkungan pendidikan menengah. Kata Kunci: strategi pelatihan, paduan suara, teknik vokal, kolaborasi, kompetisi ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze the choir training strategies implemented by SMAK Kalam Kudus Bandung in preparation for competitions. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through non- participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the head coach, assistant coach, and active choir members. The results indicate that the training strategy is based on three main components: mastery of vocal techniques (breathing, articulation, intonation), strengthening collaboration and social interaction among members, and developing competitive mental readiness through simulations and performance evaluations. Training was carried out in a structured and progressive manner, tailored to each member’s needs and development. The choir’s success in achieving multiple awards at national-level competitions demonstrates that a holistic and collaborative training approach significantly enhances both vocal quality and team cohesion. This research contributes to the development of effective choir training strategies within the context of secondary education.
