    Abstract

    Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang signifikan, khususnya pada lansia. Pendekatan nonfarmakologis seperti foot therapy massage semakin mendapat perhatian karena keamanannya dan efek relaksasi yang ditimbulkan. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh foot therapy massage terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita hipertensi. Metode: Studi kasus ini menggunakan metode deskriptif terhadap satu responden lansia di Balai Perlindungan Sosial Tresna Werdha Ciparay selama 4 hari berturut-turut. Intervensi dilakukan selama 15 menit persesi dengan prosedur sesuai standar oprasional prosedur. Hasil: Terjadi penurunan tekanan darah signifikan dari 180/100 mmHg menjadi 110/70 mmHg. Klien juga merasakan peningkatan kualitas tidur, berkurangnya sakit kepala dan sakit pada kaki. Background: Hypertension is a significant global health problem, especially among the elderly. Non-pharmacological approaches like foot therapy massage are gaining attention due to their safety and relaxation effects. Objective: To determine the effect of foot therapy massage on reducing blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension. Method: This case study used a descriptive method on an elderly subject at the Tresna Werdha Ciparay Social Protection Center over a 4-day period. The intervention lasted 15 minutes per session and followed standard operating procedures. Result: Blood pressure decreased from 180/100 mmHg to 110/70 mmHg. The patient also reported improved sleep quality, reduced headache and leg pain. Keywords: Hypertension, Elderly, Foot Therapy Massage, Blood Pressure.
