    Abstract

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji kontribusi anger rumination terhadap perilaku cyberbullying di media sosial yang dimoderasi oleh kontrol diri pada Gen Z di Jawa Barat. Responden pada penelitian ini (N=435) adalah Gen Z yang berusia 18-28 tahun di Jawa Barat. Responden mengisi kuesioner dari instrumen Anger Rumination Scale (ARS), Cyberbullying in Social Media Scale (CSMS), dan Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia dengan reliabilitas setiap instrumen di atas 0,70. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan convenience sampling. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa anger rumination tidak menjadi prediktor terhadap perilaku cyberbullying di media sosial, sehingga kontrol diri tidak memoderasi kontribusi anger rumination terhadap kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying di media sosial pada Gen Z di Jawa Barat. Kontrol diri hanya menjadi variabel prediktor terhadap perilaku cyberbullying di media sosial. The Purpose of this study was to examine the contribution of anger rumination to cyberbullying in social media moderated by self-control on Gen Z in West Java. Respondent in this study (N=435) were Gen Z aged 18-28 years in West Java. Respondent filled out questionnaire from Anger Rumination Scale (ARS), Cyberbullying in Social Media Scale (CSMS), and Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) which had been adapted into Indonesian Language with the reliability of each instrument were more than 0,70. The sampling technique that was used in this study was convenience sampling. The results of the regression analysis showed that anger rumination was not a predictor of cyberbullying behavior on social media, thus self-control did not moderate the contribution of anger rumination to cyberbullying behavior on social media among Gen Z in West Java. Self-control was only a predictor variable for cyberbullying behavior on social media.
