    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan di lapangan pada anak tunarungu. Dimana terdapat hambatan yang dialami oleh anak tunarungu dalam mengucapkan huruf konsonan utamanya pada huruf konsonan dental /D/N/T/. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan peningkatan terhadap kemampuan mengucapkan huruf pada anak tunarungu utamanya huruf konsonan dental /D/N/T/ dengan menerapkan Program Pengembangan Komunikasi Persepsi Bunyi dan Irama. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan Penelitian Kuantitatif dengan Metode Penelitian Eksperimen dan Desain Penelitian Subjek Tunggal atau Single Subject Research (SSR). Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah satu orang anak tunarungu dengan jumlah sesi yaitu sebanyak 11 sesi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan Program Pengembangan Komunikasi Persepsi Bunyi dan Irama (PKPBI) memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengucapkan huruf konsonan dental /D/N/T/ Pada anak tunarungu. Dari Penerapan Program Pengembangan Komunikasi Persepsi Bunyi dan Irama dengan indikator yang terdapat didalamnya, menunjukkan peningkatan terhadap kemampuan mengucapkan huruf konsonan dental /D/N/T/ pada anak tunarungu. Peningkatan tersebut diharapkan pada akhirnya dapat turut menjadi salah satu pendukung perkembangan kemampuan bahasa dan komunikasi secara menyeluruh pada anak tunarungu. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the problems encountered in the field regarding children with hearing impairment, particularly their difficulties in pronouncing consonant letters, especially the dental consonants /D/N/T/. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of children with hearing impairment to pronounce consonants—particularly the dental consonants /D/N/T/—through the implementation of the Communication Development Program for Sound and Rhythm Perception. This study employs a quantitative research approach using an experimental method and a Single Subject Research (SSR) design. The research involved one child with hearing impairment as the subject, and a total of 11 sessions were conducted. The results indicate that the implementation of the Communication Development Program for Sound and Rhythm Perception (CDPSRP) has a significant effect on improving the pronunciation of dental consonants /D/N/T/ in children with hearing impairment. The indicators within the program showed notable improvements in the child’s ability to articulate the dental consonants /D/N/T/. This improvement is expected to contribute to the overall development of language and communication skills in children with hearing impairment.
