Abstract
Keterampilan pemecahan masalah merupakan keterampilan penting dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21, terutama pada materi perubahan lingkungan yang menuntut siswa berpikir kritis dan kontekstual. Namun, observasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah secara mandiri dan logis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) melalui pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan menggambarkan tingkat self regulated learning (SRL) siswa setelah pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain one group post-posttest yang melibatkan 47 siswa kelas X di salah satu sekolah perbatasan kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian untuk keterampilan pemecahan masalah, kuesioner SRL, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan pemecahan masalah dari 49 menjadi 76 setelah penerapan model. Gambaran SRL siswa setelah pembelajaran menunjukkan kategori cukup baik pada aspek konsentrasi, motivasi, self testing, manajemen waktu, dan penggunaan sumber belajar. Dengan demikian, model PBL melalui JAS bisa diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, tetapi juga memberi ruang bagi siswa untuk mengelola proses belajarnya secara mandiri. Problem-solving skills are essential in 21st-century learning, especially in environmental change topics that require students to think critically and contextually. However, observations indicate that students still struggle to solve problems independently and logically. This study aims to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model through the Environmental Exploration (JAS) approach to improve problem-solving skills and to describe students’ levels of self-regulated learning (SRL) after the learning process. This research employs a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 47 tenth-grade students from a school located on the outskirts of Bandung city. The instruments used include essay tests for problem-solving skills, an SRL questionnaire, and a student response survey. The results show a significant increase in problem-solving scores from 49 to 76 following the implementation of the model. The SRL profile after the learning process indicates a fairly good category in aspects such as concentration, motivation, self-testing, time management, and the use of learning resources. Thus, the PBL model through the JAS approach can be applied not only to enhance problem-solving abilities but also to provide opportunities for students to manage their learning process independently.
