PENGARUH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING BERMUATAN SDGs LIFE ON LAND TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA SMA PADA MATERI EKOSISTEM

    Abstract

    Tantangan abad ke-21 menuntut keterampilan pemecahan masalah, namun keterampilan siswa masih rendah karena kurangnya kesempatan berlatih merancang solusi. Kemudian Kurikulum Merdeka juga menekankan pencapaian SDGs dalam pembelajaran. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Problem-Based Learning bermuatan SDGs Life on Land terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA pada materi ekosistem. Metode dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, melibatkan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol di kelas X. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil lembar observasi menunjukkan keterlaksanaan PBL bermuatan SDGs Life on Land sebesar 98,75% untuk kegiatan guru dan 97,08% untuk siswa, keduanya dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil tes uraian pemecahan masalah melalui uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan pre-test kelas eksperimen 35,11 (kurang) dan kontrol 37,56 (kurang) tidak berbeda signifikan (0,362>0,05), sementara post-test kelas eksperimen 72,67 (baik) dan kontrol 57,78 (cukup) menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (0,000<0,05). Pada kelas eksperimen, indikator “Melihat kembali dan belajar” memperoleh Gain tertinggi 55,55 (peningkatan sedang), dan “Mengidentifikasi masalah” terendah 6,67 (peningkatan rendah). Hasil angket respons siswa terhadap penerapan PBL bermuatan SDGs Life on Land adalah sebesar 72,33% dalam kategori baik. Dengan demikian, PBL bermuatan SDGs Life on Land berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA pada materi ekosistem, terutama terkait keberlanjutan keseimbangan ekosistem darat melalui pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati. The challenges of the 21st century require problem-solving skills, but students' skills remain low due to a lack of opportunities to practice designing solutions. The Kurikulum Merdeka also emphasizes the achievement of SDGs in learning. This study analyze the effect of Problem-Based Learning incorporating SDGs Life on Land on high school students’ problem-solving skills in the ecosystem topic. The research method and design used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, involving one experimental and one control class in grade X. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and questionnaires. The observation sheet results showed that the implementation of PBL incorporating SDGs Life on Land reached 98.75% for teachers and 97.08% for students, both categorized as very good. The problem-solving essay test results using an independent sample t-test showed that the pre-test score of the experimental class was 35.11 (poor) and the control 37.56 (poor) were not significantly different (0.362>0.05), while the post-test scores of the experimental class 72.67 (good) and the control 57.78 (adequate) showed a significant difference (0.000<0.05). In the experimental class, the indicator “Look back and learn” achieved the highest Gain of 55.55 (medium improvement), while “Identify problems” showed the lowest 6.67 (low improvement). The student response questionnaire results showed that the implementation of PBL incorporating SDGs Life on Land reached 72.33%, categorized as good. PBL incorporating SDGs Life on Land has a positive effect on improving high school students’ problem-solving skills in the ecosystem topic, particularly regarding the sustainability of terrestrial ecosystem balance through biodiversity conservation.
