    Abstract

    Ancaman terhadap populasi keanekaragaman hayati saat ini kian meningkat yang ditandai dengan menurunnya populasi flora dan fauna endemik. Untuk menghadapi permasalahan tersebut, literasi sains menjadi kemampuan penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan data untuk mengungkap literasi sains siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu memperoleh informasi terkait capaian literasi sains siswa berdasarkan kecerdasan majemuk dominan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survei. Partisipan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 216 siswa kelas X di beberapa SMA. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan pengalaman belajar siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah soal literasi sains berdasarkan framework PISA 2018 pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dan angket kecerdasan majemuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan capaian literasi sains siswa hanya mencapai kategori kurang (56,4%). Kompetensi paling unggul yang dimiliki oleh siswa, yakni menafsirkan data dan bukti ilmiah tentang flora dan fauna di Indonesia dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 68,3. Selain itu, diperoleh informasi bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara literasi sains dengan kecerdasan majemuk siswa dengan nilai 0,063. Adapun, capaian literasi sains siswa yang tinggi didominasi oleh kecerdasan interpersonal dan logis matematis. Maka dari itu, sebaiknya untuk memperoleh capaian yang mendalam, disarankan agar guru dapat melatihkan literasi sains dengan merancang pembelajaran yang sesuai variasi kecerdasan majemuk siswa. Threats to biodiversity populations are currently on the rise, as evidenced by the decline in endemic flora and fauna populations. To address this problem, science literacy is an important skill that students need to have. Therefore, data is needed to reveal students' science literacy in biodiversity material. The purpose of this study is to obtain information related to students' science literacy achievements based on their dominant multiple intelligences. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey research design. The participants in this study were 216 tenth-grade students in several high schools. The sample was determined using purposive sampling based on students' learning experiences. The research instruments used were science literacy questions based on the 2018 PISA framework on biodiversity and a multiple intelligence questionnaire. The results of the study show that students' science literacy achievement only reached the low category (56.4%). The most outstanding competency possessed by students was interpreting scientific data and evidence about flora and fauna in Indonesia with an average score of 68.3. Additionally, it was found that there is a strong correlation between science literacy and students' multiple intelligences with a value of 0.063. Furthermore, high science literacy achievement is dominated by interpersonal and logical-mathematical intelligences. Therefore, to achieve deeper learning outcomes, it is recommended that teachers develop science literacy by designing learning activities that align with students' multiple intelligences.
