Abstract
Salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi dalam proses belajar mengajar yaitu kurangnya media pembelajaran yang kreatif, interaktif dan mudah dipahami. Dengan demikian, pentingnya media pembelajaran yang interaktif bagi keberlangsungan proses belajar mengajar di kelas agar tidak monoton dan membosankan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media story maps terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, desain Quasi Experimental bentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu, XI-C (eksperimen), X-D (kontrol). Variabel bebas (X) media story maps, variabel terikat (Y) kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Instrumen yang digunakan lembar observasi, angket, tes, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan klasifikasi keberhasilan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t dan uji n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif di kelas eksperimen berada pada kriteria sangat kreatif dengan skor 83%, selaras dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif di kelas kontrol berada pada kriteria kreatif dengan skor 71%. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa nilai probabilitas 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran story maps terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya yaitu, media story maps ini dapat diterapkan pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif indikator berpikir merinci (elaboration) karena masih tergolong rendah. One of the problems that occurs in the teaching and learning process is the lack of creative, interactive, and easy-to-understand learning media. Therefore, interactive learning media is important for the continuity of the teaching and learning process in the classroom so that it is not monotonous and boring. The purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of using story maps on students' creative thinking skills in geography. This study used a quantitative research method with an experimental design, with an experimental design, specifically a Quasi-Experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of XI-C (experimental group) and X-D (control group). The independent variable (X) was story maps media, and the dependent variable (Y) was creative thinking ability. The instruments used included observation sheets, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were classification of creative thinking ability success, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and n-gain test. The results of the study showed that the creative thinking ability in the experimental class was at the highly creative criterion with a score of 83%, consistent with the creative thinking ability in the control class, which was at the creative criterion with a score of 71%. Based on the t-test results, the probability value was 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting H1. Therefore, there is an effect of the story maps learning media on students' creative thinking abilities. Recommendations for further research include applying the story maps media to the creative thinking ability indicator of elaboration, as it is still classified as low.
