Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterlibatan orang tua dalam perkembangan emosi dengan kesejahteraan psikologis anak usia 5–6 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 50 orang tua dari anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Sejahtera Cibogo, Kecamatan Plered, Kabupaten Purwakarta yang diambil dari seluruh jumlah populasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner tertutup dengan skala Likert yang mengukur dua variabel utama: keterlibatan orang tua dalam perkembangan emosi (variabel X) dan kesejahteraan psikologis anak (variabel Y). Uji prasyarat analisis menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal pada salah satu variabel, sehingga analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi non-parametrik Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel. Bentuk hubungan atau kategori interpretasi koefisien korelasi berada pada kategori hubungan yang rendah. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua dalam perkembangan emosi anak tidak sepenuhnya dapat memberikan dampak yang baik terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis anak secara utuh. ----- This study aims to determine the relationship between parental involvement in emotional development and the psychological well-being of children aged 5–6 years. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The sample of this study consisted of 50 parents of children aged 5–6 years at TK Sejahtera Cibogo, Plered District, Purwakarta Regency taken from the entire population. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure two main variables: parental involvement in emotional development (variable X) and children's psychological well-being (variable Y). The prerequisite tests showed that the data were not normally distributed in one of the variables; therefore, the hypothesis testing used the non-parametric Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of the study indicate a significant positive relationship between the two variables. However, the strength of the correlation falls into the low category. This indicates that parental involvement in the emotional development of children does not entirely provide a strong positive impact on their overall psychological well-being.
