    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan metode pembelajaran storytelling menggunakan buku cerita bergambar dapat mengembangkan kepercayaan diri anak usia dini. Berdasarkan pengamatan terlihat bahwa kepercayaan diri pada anak belum berkembang secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan stimulasi untuk mengembangkan kepercayaan diri anak melalui kegiatan metode pembelajaran storytelling menggunakan buku cerita bergambar. Metode peneletian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Model Kemmis & MC Taggart dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun di kelas B RA Ar-Ridho Jatiluhur, Purwakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif dan teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama dua siklus yang diawali dengan pelaksanaan tindakan pra siklus dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan tindakan siklus I dan pelaksanaan tindakan siklus II. Pada pelaksanaan tindakan pra siklus didapatkan nilai rata-rata persentase 36% dalam kepercayaan diri anak. Pada pelaksanaan tindakan kelas siklus I mengalami peningkatan dalam kepercayaan diri anak dengan nilai rata-rata persentase 47%, dan pada pelaksanaan tindakan kelas siklus II mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam kepercayaan diri anak dengan nilai rata-rata persentase 84%. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan melalui kegiatan metode pembelajaran storytelling menggunakan buku cerita bergambar dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak. ----- This study aims to determine how the storytelling learning method using picture story books can develop self-confidence in early childhood. Based on observations, it is seen that self-confidence in children has not developed optimally. Therefore, stimulation is needed to develop children's self-confidence through storytelling learning methods using picture story books. The research method used in this study is the Kemmis & MC Taggart Classroom Action Research Model with the research subjects being children aged 5-6 years in class B RA Ar-Ridho Jatiluhur, Purwakarta. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used is qualitative data analysis techniques and quantitative data analysis techniques. This study lasted for two cycles starting with the implementation of pre-cycle actions followed by the implementation of cycle I actions and the implementation of cycle II actions. In the implementation of pre-cycle actions, an average percentage value of 36% was obtained in children's self-confidence. In the implementation of cycle I classroom actions, there was a significant increase in children's self-confidence with an average percentage value of 47%, and in the implementation of cycle II classroom actions, there was a significant increase in children's self-confidence with an average percentage value of 84%. The results of this study show that the application of storytelling learning methods using picture story books can increase children's self-confidence.
