    Abstract

    Keterampilan komunikasi yang baik adalah kemampuan untuk menyampaikan informasi secara efektif dan dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh orang lain. Namun pada kenyataannya, keterampilan komunikasi terutama pada siswa masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw pada mata pelajaran IPS berbantuan media diorama terhadap keterampilan komunikasi siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment tipe non-equivalaent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas 3 SDN 9 Nagrikaler, yaitu kelas ekperimen yang menggunakan model Jigsaw berbantuan diorama dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) berbantuan powerpoint. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa model Jigsaw berbantuan media diorama lebih baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dalam mata pelajaran IPS dibandingkan dengan model STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions). Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil uji t-test dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05 serta perhitungan N-Gain dimana kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media diorama lebih baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi pada mata pelajaran IPS siswa sekolah dasar. ----- Good communication skills are the ability to convey information effectively and be understood well by others. However, in reality, communication skills, especially among students, are still relatively low. This study aims to determine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in social studies lessons assisted by diorama media on the communication skills of elementary school students. The approach used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental method of non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of third-grade students at SDN 9 Nagrikaler, divided into an experimental class using the Jigsaw model assisted by dioramas and a control class using the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) model assisted by PowerPoint. The results showed that the Jigsaw model assisted by dioramas was more effective in improving communication skills in social studies compared to the STAD model. This was proven through the results of the t-test with a significance value of < 0.05 and the N-Gain calculation, where the experimental class obtained a higher average score than the control class. In conclusion, the use of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model assisted by diorama media is more effective in improving communication skills in social studies for elementary school students.
