Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya menstimulasi kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dapat dilakukan dengan kegiatan seperti mozaik, kolase dan melipat origami. Namun dari ketiga kegiatan tersebut tentu terdapat salah satu kegiatan yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kegiatan yang paling efektif diantara mozaik, kolase dan melipat origami dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelompok B di Kober Wisana dan RA Darul Hufadz yang secara keseluruhan berjumlah 28 anak. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah instrument terstandar Peabody Developmental Motor Scale Second Edition (PDMS-2) yang kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik inferensial. Hasil dari statistik yang menggunakan uji post hoc bonfferoni diketahui bahwa kegiatan mozaik menjadi yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dengan nilai signifikan terhadap kegiatan kolase dan melipat origami sama-sama sig. 0.000. Hasil ini tentu didapatkan juga dari faktor lainnya saat pelaksanaan kegiatan mozaik yaitu kegiatan merobek kertas, merekatkan potongan kertas, menempel, merekatkan dan menyusun potongan kertas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, guru hendaknya dapat mengoptimalkan kembali kegiatan mozaik, kolase, dan melipat origami untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dan menyediakan fasilitas yang memadai untuk anak dengan jadwal yang lebih terarah. This research is motivated by the importance of stimulating fine motor skills in early childhood. In improving children's fine motor skills, it can be done with activities such as mosaics, collages and folding origami. However, of the three activities, there is certainly one of the most effective activities in improving fine motor skills in early childhood. This study aims to compare the most effective activities among mosaics, collage and origami folding in improving fine motor skills in early childhood. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative method. The sample in this study is all group B students in Wisana Playgroup and RA Darul Hufadz which totals 28 children. The instrument used in this study is the standardized instrument Peabody Developmental Motor Scale Second Edition (PDMS-2) which is then analyzed with inferential statistics. The results of statistics using the post hoc bonfferoni test are found that mosaic activities are the most effective in improving children's fine motor skills with significant values on collage and origami folding activities both sig. 0.000. This result is of course also obtained from other factors during the implementation of mosaic activities, namely the activity of tearing paper, gluing pieces of paper, gluing, gluing and arranging pieces of paper. Based on the results of the research, teachers should be able to further optimize mosaic, collage, and origami folding activities to improve children's fine motor skills and provide adequate facilities for children with a more directed schedule.
