Abstract
Pendahuluan: Autisme adalah kondisi perkembangan saraf ditandai dengan gangguan komunikasi sosial, interaksi, dan pola perilaku yang terbatas dan berulang atau perilaku stereotip.Tingkat keparahan gangguan interaksi ini dapat menyebabkan defisit dalam kemampuan untuk melakukan aktivitas hidup sehari- hari. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan terapi bermain media puzzle terhadap tingkat kemandirian pada autisme tentang activity daily living. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif desain quasi experiment pre post test with control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling 30 orang. Hasil: Menunjukkan tingkat kemandirian dengan kategori mandiri sebelum dan sesudah pada kelompok eksperimen yaitu 53,3% dan 73,3%. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji independent sample T-test (p = 0,001) yang artinya terdapat perbedaan terapi bermain media puzzle pada autisme tentang activity daily living. Kesimpulan: Terapi bermain secara rutin sebagai salah satu metode efektif dalam peningkatan kemandirian yang dapat mencapai derajat fisik sehingga autisme dapat menjalankan aktivitas sehari- hari. Introduction: Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by impaired social communication, interaction, and limited and repetitive patterns of behavior or stereotyped behavior. The severity of these interaction disorders can lead to deficits in the ability to perform activities of daily living. Objective: This study is to determine the difference in puzzle media play therapy on the level of independence in autism about daily living activities. Method: This study used a quantitative method of quasi experiment design pre post test with control group. The sampling technique is total sampling of 30 people. Results: Shows the level of independence with the independent category before and after in the experimental group, namely 53.3% and 73.3%. This is evidenced by the results of the independent sample T- test (p = 0.001) which means that there are differences in puzzle media play therapy in autism about daily living activities. Conclusion: Routine play therapy as one of the effective methods in increasing independence that can achieve physical degrees so that autism can carry out daily activities.
