Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan numerasi awal anak usia 5–6 tahun, khususnya dalam operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut melalui pemanfaatan media Turtle Sorting Color di TK Perwari 1 Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 anak kelompok B. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, dengan pendekatan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada setiap siklus. Pada aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, capaian meningkat dari 58,03% di siklus I menjadi 83,92% di siklus II. Sementara pada aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran oleh guru, terjadi peningkatan dari 59,38% menjadi 87,5%. Kemampuan numerasi awal anak juga menunjukkan peningkatan, dari 40% pada pra siklus, menjadi 60,83% di siklus I, dan mencapai 81,66% pada siklus II. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Turtle Sorting Color dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi awal anak usia 5–6 tahun secara bermakna dan menyenangkan. This study was motivated by the low early numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years, particularly in basic addition and subtraction operations. The purpose of this research was to improve those skills through the use of the Turtle Sorting Color learning media at TK Perwari 1 in Tasikmalaya. The study employed a Classroom Action Research method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 15 children from group B. Data were collected through observation and documentation, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results revealed significant improvement across each cycle. In terms of lesson planning, the percentage increased from 58.03% in Cycle I to 83.92% in Cycle II. In the aspect of teaching implementation, teacher performance improved from 59.38% to 87.5%. Meanwhile, the children’s early numeracy skills rose from 40% in the pre-cycle to 60.83% in Cycle I, and reached 81.66% in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the use of Turtle Sorting Color media can effectively enhance the early numeracy abilities of children aged 5–6 years in an engaging and meaningful way.
