    Abstract

    Berdasarkan hasil observasi ke Siswa Tunadaksa di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) di Tasikmalaya, maka ditemukan permasalahan. Tunadaksa adalah orang yang terdapat kecacatan pada tubuhnya atau memiliki keterbatasan fisik, dalam kesehariannya tunadaksa membutuhkan kursi roda sebagai alat bantu. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh siswa tunadaksa sebagai pengguna kursi roda disaat pembelajaran adalah kesulitan dalam menjangkau meja yang disebabkan oleh tidak adanya fasilitas yang menggunakan pendekatan desain yang didasarkan pada data tubuh (antropometri). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang meja belajar yang dapat terintegrasi dengan kursi roda berdasarkan data antropometri siswa tunadaksa dan menyesuaikan dimensi kursi roda. Penelitian ini berfokus ke jenis Kursi Roda Standar Manual yang umum digunakan digunakan oleh siswa Tunadaksa SLB di Tasikmalaya. Dengan memanfaatkan data antropometri, maka dapat merancang meja yang mudah dijangkau, tidak menganggu postur tubuh, serta mendukung kenyamanan dan efektivitas belajar bagi siswa penyandang tunadaksa SLB di Tasikmalaya. Perancangan meja ini akan diletakkan di atas sandaran tangan kursi roda sehingga siswa tunadaksa dapat mendekatkan tubuh mereka ke meja dengan nyaman. Metode yang digunakan mencakup observasi lapangan, pengukuran antropometri siswa tunadaksa berusia 8–16 tahun, wawancara, analisis kebutuhan, serta penerapan metode Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) untuk menghasilkan spesifikasi desain yang sesuai. Hasil penelitian berupa desain meja belajar dengan sistem klem yang mudah digunakan, dimensi yang disesuaikan dengan data antropometri, serta material yang aman bagi pengguna. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa desain meja ini tidak hanya memberikan kenyamanan, tetapi juga mudah dijangkau, dapat mendukung postur tubuh yang baik, memberikan kenyamanan, dan memfasilitasi proses belajar secara maksimal. Based on observations of students with physical disabilities at a special school (SLB) in Tasikmalaya, several issues were identified. Students with physical disabilities are individuals with physical impairments or limitations who require wheelchairs as assistive devices in their daily lives. The challenges faced by students with physical disabilities who use wheelchairs during learning activities include difficulty reaching desks due to the absence of facilities designed using an anthropometric-based approach. This study aims to design a learning desk that can be integrated with wheelchairs based on the anthropometric data of students with physical disabilities and adjusted to the dimensions of the wheelchair. This study focuses on the Standard Manual Wheelchair commonly used by students with physical disabilities at the Special Education School (SLB) in Tasikmalaya. By utilizing anthropometric data, a desk can be designed that is easy to reach, does not interfere with body posture, and supports comfort and learning effectiveness for students with physical disabilities at the SLB in Tasikmalaya. The desk design will be placed on the wheelchair's armrest, allowing students with disabilities to comfortably bring their bodies closer to the desk. The methods used include field observations, anthropometric measurements of students with disabilities aged 8–16 years, interviews, needs analysis, and the application of the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) method to produce appropriate design specifications. The research results include a study desk design with an easy-to-use clamping system, dimensions tailored to anthropometric data, and materials safe for users. The conclusion indicates that this desk design not only provides comfort but is also easily accessible, supports good posture, offers comfort, and maximizes the learning process.
