    Abstract

    Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki siswa, terutama dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan operasi bilangan bulat. Namun, kenyataannya masih terdapat perbedaan tingkat pemahaman dan strategi penyelesaian di antara siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi operasi bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 27 siswa kelas VI B SD Taman Kalijaga Permai yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta pertimbangan guru. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori tinggi, yaitu 5 dari 5 siswa (100%), mampu memahami dan menentukan informasi dalam soal dengan baik. Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang, sebanyak 8 dari 14 siswa (57%), mampu menyajikan informasi secara lengkap, sedangkan 6 dari 14 siswa (43%) hanya menuliskan hasil akhir tanpa langkah langkah rinci. Adapun siswa berkategori rendah, sebanyak 3 dari 8 siswa (37,5%) tidak menuliskan informasi penyelesaian secara rinci, dan 5 dari 8 siswa (62,5%) menjelaskan langkah perhitungannya namun masih terdapat kesalahan dalam pengoperasian tanda negatif atau ketidaktepatan angka. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi operasi bilangan bulat cukup bervariasi tergantung pada tingkat kemampuannya masing-masing. Meskipun demikian, sebagian besar siswa mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan benar dan memberikan kesimpulan dari setiap soal yang dikerjakan. Problem-solving ability in mathematics is an essential competency that students must possess, especially in solving problems related to integer operations. However, there are still differences in levels of understanding and strategies used among students. This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities in the topic of integer operations. This qualitative descriptive research involved 27 sixth-grade students of Class VI B at SD Taman Kalijaga Permai, selected based on their problem-solving test results and teacher recommendations. The research instruments included a mathematical problem-solving test and interviews. The results showed that students in the high-ability category, all 5 out of 5 students (100%), were able to understand and identify information in the problems accurately. Among students with moderate problem-solving abilities, 8 out of 14 students (57%) presented complete information, while the remaining 6 students (43%) only wrote the final calculation. In the low-ability category, 3 out of 8 students (37.5%) did not provide detailed information in their solutions, and 5 out of 8 students (62.5%) explained their calculation steps but still made errors in using negative signs or incorrect numbers. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the problem-solving abilities of sixth-grade students at SD Taman Kalijaga Permai in integer operations vary depending on each student's level of ability. Nonetheless, most students were able to solve the problems correctly and provide conclusions for each question.
