Abstract
Kegiatan meronce pompom memiliki manfaat besar dalam mendukung tumbuh kembang anak usia dini, terutama dalam pengembangan kemampuan motorik halus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 4–5 tahun melalui kegiatan meronce pompom di TK Perwari 1 Kota Tasikmalaya. Fokus utama penelitian ini mencakup aspek koordinasi mata dan tangan, serta kekuatan jari dan otot tangan anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model spiral dari Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 12 anak kelompok A. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan motorik halus anak setelah mengikuti kegiatan meronce pompom, yang terlihat dari ketepatan gerakan, kelenturan jari, dan kemampuan menyusun pompom secara lebih cepat dan terarah. Selain itu, anak menunjukkan antusiasme dan keterlibatan aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan meronce pompom efektif digunakan sebagai salah satu bentuk stimulasi yang menyenangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Beading pom-poms has great benefits in supporting early childhood development, especially in the development of fine motor skills. This study aims to investigate the improvement in fine motor skills of 4–5-year-old children through pompom-making activities at TK Perwari 1 in Tasikmalaya City. The primary focus of this research includes aspects of eye-hand coordination, as well as finger strength and hand muscle development in children. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the spiral model by Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 12 children in Group A. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, field notes, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in children's fine motor skills after participating in the pompom stringing activity, as evidenced by the accuracy of movements, finger flexibility, and the ability to arrange pompoms more quickly and purposefully. Additionally, the children demonstrated enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the activity. Based on these results, it can be concluded that pompom stringing activities are effective as a fun form of stimulation to enhance fine motor skills in young children.
