Abstract

ABSTRAK Rila Muspita: Pola Komunikasi Anak dengan hambatan pendengaran yang Menggunakan Implan Koklea Tujuan penelitian ini menemukan pola komunikasi anak dengan hambatan pendengaran yang menggunakan implan koklea. Pendekan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus, melibatkan subjek yang terdiri dari orang tua (ibu), terapis Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) dan dokter spesialis THT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berbahasa anak berkembang secara bertahap, mencakup aspek reseptif, ekspresif, bahasa sosial, pelabelan, spontan dan tata bahasa. Perkembangan bahasa ini membentuk pola komunikasi yang khas, yang dirumuskan sebagai ADHA Communication Pattern (Auditory Development through Human Assistance). Pola ini terdiri dari lima kategori utama, yaitu: 1) pola satu arah menuju dua arah, 2) pola verbal-isyarat campuran (transisi multimodal), 3) pola terstruktur, 4) interaktif-komunikatif, dan 5) dukungan keluarga. Pola ini mnegaskan bahwa perkembangan komunikasi anak tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan teknologi implan koklea, tetapi juga sangat ditentukan oleh interaksi yang intensif dengan orang tua, kualitas terapi dan lingkungan yang mendukung. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam pengembangan intervensi komunikasi bagi anak dengan hambtan pendengaran serta menawarkan pijakan bagi pendidik, terapi dan keluarga dalam membentuk lingkungan komunikasi yang inklusif dan reponsif. Kata Kunci: Pola Komunikasi, Anak dengan hambatan pendengaran, Implan Koklea, Kemampuan Berbahasa, ADHA Communication Pattern ABSTRACT Rila Muspita: Communication Patterns of Children with Hearing Impairment Using Cochlear Implan This study aims to identify the communication patterns of children with hearing impairments who use cochlear implans. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving participants comprising mothers, Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) therapists, and ENT specialists. The findings reveal that the children’s language abilities develop progressively, encompassing receptive, expressive, social language, labeling, spontaneous use, and grammatical skills. These developments shape a distinctive communication pattern, conceptualized as the ADHA Communication Pattern (Auditory Development through Human Assistance). This pattern consists of five core categories: (1) one-way to two-way communication, (2) mixed verbal-gestural communication (multimodal transition), (3) structured communication, (4) interactive-communicative interaction, and (5) family support. The pattern underscores that the development of children’s communication is influenced not only by cochlear implan technology but also significantly shaped by intensive parental interaction, therapeutic quality, and a supportive environment. These findings contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of communication interventions for children with hearing impairments and offer a foundation for educators, therapists, and families in fostering inclusive and responsive communicative settings.
