Abstract

This research was carried out in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 6 odd semester academic year arrowroot 2013/2014 using quasi experiment method. In this study uses three classes, namely class experiment 1 (XI IPS 1) cooperative learning model that uses two techniques to stay two stray (TSTS), classroom experiment 2 (XI IPS 2) that uses a model cooperative learning techniques numbered heads together (NHT) and control classes (XI IPS 4) using the conventional method of learning lecture model. The purpose of this research is to know the difference in learning outcomes and increase the learners on the subjects of sociology. Data collection is done with multiple choice tests as many as 30 grains of matter with the subject of social mobility. The data processing is done by doing a calculation of n-gain, test of its homogeneity, test of its normality and test-t in order to get the value of the difference of the third class. The results showed that the results of the learning learners in school classrooms; the use of model experiments 1 cooperative learning techniques two stay two stray (TSTS) experienced an increase in higher learning results compared to the experimental class 2 that uses a model cooperative learning techniques numbered heads together (NHT), also control method using class lectures. The index gain and gain ternomalisasi in second grade experiment in category medium, whereas the control class is in the low category. Based on results of test of hypothesis, experimental results obtained that class 1 using a model cooperative learning techniques two stay two stray (TSTS) showed average earnings outcomes of higher learning with a significant difference compared to the experimental class 2 that uses a model cooperative learning techniques numbered heads together (NHT), also control method using class lectures. So, a model cooperative learning techniques two stay two stray (TSTS) is one of the learning models are effective in improving learning outcomes students on subjects of sociology. Keywords: model cooperative learning, technique two stay two stray (TSTS), technique numbered heads together (NHT), the results of study.
