Abstract
Anak tunagrahita ringan berisiko mengalami kekerasan seksual akibat keterbatasan dalam memahami konsep batasan dan persetujuan tubuh. Dengan kemampuan berpikir konkret setara anak usia 7–11 tahun, mereka memerlukan media pembelajaran visual dan interaktif untuk memahami situasi sosial secara nyata. Namun, pembelajaran yang selama ini diterapkan belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi kebutuhan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman batasan dan persetujuan tubuh pada anak tunagrahita ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran dengan desain eksploratori sekuensial. Tahap pertama, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk menggali kondisi objektif pemahaman siswa serta media pembelajaran yang selama ini digunakan. Tahap kedua, temuan dari tahap awal menjadi dasar pengembangan media AR berupa aplikasi yang dapat diakses melalui perangkat ponsel pintar. Pada tahap ini, validasi dilakukan oleh empat orang ahli dengan hasil skor 72 dari maksimum 75, menunjukkan media berada dalam kategori layak. Tahap ketiga, uji efektivitas dilakukan terhadap empat peserta didik tunagrahita ringan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata skor posttest sebesar 96,25%, meningkat signifikan dibandingkan skor pretest sebesar 48,25%. Analisis menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p = 0,046 < 0,05), menandakan peningkatan pemahaman batasan dan persetujuan tubuh setelah penggunaan media AR. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis AR yang inovatif dan adaptif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman batasan dan persetujuan tubuh, sehingga mendukung upaya pencegahan kekerasan seksual pada anak tunagrahita ringan. Children with mild intellectual disabilities are at risk of sexual violence due to limitations in understanding the concepts of body boundaries and consent. With concrete thinking abilities equivalent to those of children aged 7–11 years, they require visual and interactive learning media to realistically comprehend social situations. However, the learning approaches currently implemented have not fully accommodated these needs. Therefore, this study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media to improve the understanding of body boundaries and consent in children with mild intellectual disabilities. This research employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory design. In the first phase, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to explore the students’ objective understanding as well as the learning media currently in use. In the second phase, findings from the initial stage served as the basis for developing an AR-based application accessible via smartphones. At this stage, validation was conducted by four experts, resulting in a score of 72 out of a maximum of 75, indicating that the media was deemed appropriate. In the third phase, effectiveness testing was carried out with four students with mild intellectual disabilities using an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the mean posttest score was 96.25%, representing a significant increase compared to the pretest score of 48.25%. Analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test also revealed a significant difference (p = 0.046 < 0.05), indicating an improvement in understanding body boundaries and consent after using the AR-based media. This research contributes to the development of innovative and adaptive AR-based learning media to enhance understanding of body boundaries and consent, thereby supporting efforts to prevent sexual violence against children with mild intellectual disabilities.
