    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman puisi siswa kelas IV melalui penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media flipbook. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman puisi siswa serta kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi soal uraian berdasarkan lima indikator pemahaman membaca, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran dan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan II. Model CTL berbantuan flipbook efektif dalam momen pembelajaran materi dengan konteks kehidupan nyata siswa, meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap isi puisi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran sastra di sekolah dasar. ----- This study aims to improve the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade students' poetry through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by flipbook media. The background of this study is the low reading comprehension ability of students' poetry and the lack of interesting learning media. The method used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model of Kemmis and McTaggart which was carried out in two cycles. The instruments used include essay questions based on five indicators of reading comprehension, observation of teacher and student activities, and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in learning activities and students' reading comprehension abilities from the pre-cycle to cycles I and II. The CTL model assisted by flipbooks is effective in learning material moments with students' reallife contexts, increasing students' involvement and understanding of the contents of poetry. The results of this study are expected to be an innovative alternative in learning literature in elementary schools.
