    Abstract

Library must continuously innovate to maintain excellence and distinction in serving its patrons. The Room 19, an independent library, innovates through unique and engaging programs conducted on a monthly basis. The knowledge creation process that occurs throughout these programs ensures further exploration and observation. This study aims to analyze the knowledge creation cycle that occurs at The Room 19 during its library programs using the Ba cycle framework. The research employs a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected from six informants, including the executive director, librarians, individuals or communities that have collaborated with the library, and frequent program participants. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, triangulation, and the drawing and verification of conclusions. The findings reveal that the knowledge creation process adapts the Ba model and involves several improvised stages. Specifically, the findings show: (1) Originating is preceded by a preliminary stage called Pre-Ba, which is dominated by psychological aspects; (2) Interacting is the most dominant aspect in knowledge conversion, as most processes occur orally or through direct interaction in physical spaces; (3)Cyber phase hasn’t been fully maximalized due to the absence of a virtual space for participants to collaborate; and (4) Exercising represents an improvised stage in The Room 19’s knowledge creation process, occurring prior to the Cyber phase. Despite the imperfections in the cycle, the knowledge creation process continues to play a vital role in driving innovation in the library’s programs.
