Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan penguasaan materi yang dimiliki oleh edukator Museum Pendidikan Nasional Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), khususnya dari Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, serta dampaknya terhadap kepuasan siswa. Keterampilan penguasaan materi dianalisis melalui empat indikator: pengetahuan, pemahaman, penerapan, dan analisis materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner kepada 376 siswa dan wawancara mendalam dengan edukator serta siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa merasa puas terhadap penguasaan materi yang dimiliki oleh edukator. Sebanyak 231 siswa (61,4%) merasa puas, 85 siswa (22,6%) sangat puas, dan 60 siswa (16%) tidak puas. Pada aspek indikator, pemahaman materi memperoleh skor tertinggi (66%), disusul oleh penerapan (63,80%), analisis (62%), dan pengetahuan materi (61,20%). Seluruhnya berada pada kategori puas. Wawancara menunjukkan bahwa edukator memiliki pendekatan yang berbeda-beda dalam menyampaikan materi, namun sama-sama menekankan penyampaian yang efektif, relevan, dan mudah dipahami. Edukator juga memanfaatkan narasi terstruktur, pertanyaan reflektif, media visual seperti diorama, serta pengaitan koleksi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Edukator Museum Pendidikan Nasional UPI telah menunjukkan keterampilan penguasaan materi yang baik dan berdampak positif terhadap pemahaman siswa. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat ruang untuk pengembangan agar kepuasan siswa dapat ditingkatkan secara optimal. This study examines the content mastery skills possessed by educators at the National Education Museum of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), particularly those from the History Education Study Program, and their impact on student satisfaction. Content mastery skills are analyzed through four indicators: knowledge, comprehension, application, and material analysis. This research uses a mixed-method approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 376 students and in-depth interviews with both educators and students. The findings reveal that the majority of students were satisfied with the educators' content mastery. A total of 231 students (61.4%) reported being satisfied, 85 students (22.6%) were very satisfied, and 60 students (16%) were dissatisfied. Among the indicators, comprehension received the highest score (66%), followed by application (63.80%), analysis (62%), and knowledge (61.20%). All indicators fall into the "satisfied" category. The interviews indicate that educators employed various approaches in delivering the material but consistently emphasized effective, relevant, and easy-to-understand communication. Educators utilized structured narratives, reflective questioning, and visual media such as dioramas, and connected the museum collections to students’ everyday lives to enhance engagement. Educators at the National Education Museum of UPI have demonstrated strong content mastery skills, positively impacting students’ understanding. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement to further enhance student satisfaction.
