    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti efektifitas metode fonik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak disleksia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen tunggal desain A-B-A kepada satu anak disleksia kelas 1 SD di daerah Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 12 sesi yaitu 3 sesi untuk baseline 1 (A1), 6 sesi untuk fase intervensi (B), dan 3 sesi untuk baseline 2 (A2). Penelitian dilakukan di lingkungan rumah anak dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes membaca permulaan yang terdiri dari 4 aspek yaitu membaca huruf, membaca suku kata, membaca kata, dan membaca kalimat. Instrumen terdiri dari 16 butir yang setiap butir memiliki rincian ragam kegiatan yang berbeda. Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi oleh expert judgement sebanyak tiga ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada fase baseline 1 (A1) dan fase baseline 2 (A2) setelah diberikan intervensi metode fonik. Hal tersebut berdasarkan peningkatan skor pada setiap sesi membaca permulaan dengan metode fonik yaitu estimasi kecenderungan arah yang meningkat, kecenderungan stabilitas dengan skor stabil, dan adanya perubahan level yang positif. Begitu juga dengan hasil analisis antar kondisi yang menunjukan perubahan yang positif terhadap kemampuan anak. Penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan implementasi metode fonik untuk membaca permulaan anak disleksia. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya yaitu melakukan pendalaman efektifitas metode fonik dengan subjek dan media yang lebih beragam dengan periode uji coba yang lebih panjang dan mendalam. The research used a quantitative approach with a single experimental method of A-B-A design to one dyslexic child in grade 1 elementary school in Kuningan Regency area. The research was conducted as many as 12 sessions, namely 3 sessions for baseline 1 (A1), 6 sessions for the intervention phase (B), and 3 sessions for baseline 2 (A2). The research was conducted in the child's home environment using an instrument in the form of a beginning reading test consisting of 4 aspects, namely reading letters, reading syllables, reading words, and reading sentences. The instrument consists of 16 items, each of which has details of different activities. The validity of the instrument uses content validity by expert judgment as many as three experts. The results showed a change in beginning reading ability in the baseline 1 (A1) phase and baseline 2 (A2) phase after being given the phonics method intervention. This is based on the increase in scores in each session of beginning reading with the phonics method, namely the estimation of increasing directional trends, stability trends with stable scores, and positive level changes. Likewise, the results of the analysis between conditions show positive changes in children's abilities. This research can be used as a reference for the implementation of the phonics method for beginning reading for dyslexic children. Recommendations for future researchers are to deepen the effectiveness of the phonics method with more diverse subjects and media with a longer and more in-depth trial period.
