Abstract

ABSTRAK Ulkus dekubitus merupakan cedera pada kulit dan jaringan di bawahnya yang terjadi akibat tekanan berkepanjangan, terutama pada area tubuh yang menonjol oleh tulang seperti sakrum, tumit, trokanter mayor, iskium, malleolus (umumnya pada sisi lateral), dan oksiput. Kondisi ini sering dialami oleh individu dengan keterbatasan mobilitas, sehingga mereka kesulitan untuk mengubah posisi tubuh secara mandiri, Ulkus dekubitus dapat secara signifikan memengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien, . Ulkus dekubitus yang terjadi pada lansia sering kali disebabkan karena ketidakmampuan lansia dalam melakukan perawatan diri sehingga mereka menjadi tergantung kepada orang lain., sehingga yang terjadi sejatinya dapat dicegah melalui beberapa intervensi sederhana seperti pemberian hydrogel yang masih jarang digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan hydrogel pada ulkus dekubitus. Metode penelitian dengan laporan kasus/case report. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 9 hari dengan menerapkan hydrogel pada perawatan luka sehingga luka bisa cepat sembuh tanpa menimbulkan infeksi pada luka, selain proses penyembuhan yang terjadi peningkatan, status nutrisi, manajemen nyeri dan edukasi juga meningkat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa penerapan hydrogel mampu mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka dekubitus ditambah dengan nutrisi yang baik mampu mempercepat proses penyembukan luka ini. ABSTRACT Decubitus ulcers are injuries to the skin and underlying tissues that occur due to prolonged pressure, especially in areas of the body that are protruding from bones such as the sacrum, heel, greater trochanter, ischium, malleolus (usually on the lateral side), and occiput. This condition is often experienced by individuals with limited mobility, making it difficult for them to change body position independently. Decubitus ulcers can significantly affect the patient's quality of life. Decubitus ulcers that occur in the elderly are often caused by the inability of the elderly to perform self-care so that they become dependent on others, so that what happens can actually be prevented through several simple interventions such as the provision of hydrogel which is still rarely used. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of applying hydrogel to decubitus ulcers. The research method with case reports. This study was conducted for 9 days by applying hydrogel to wound care so that the wound could heal quickly without causing infection in the wound, in addition to the healing process that occurred, nutritional status, pain management and education also increased. The conclusion of this study is that the application of hydrogel can accelerate the healing process of decubitus wounds, coupled with good nutrition, can accelerate the healing process of these wounds.
