Abstract

Kemandirian adalah aspek krusial dalam perkembangan individu, memungkinkan seseorang menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari tanpa ketergantungan berlebihan pada orang lain. Namun, anak-anak dengan hambatan fisik sering menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam mencapai kemandirian, sehingga diperlukan program pengembangan diri yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pelaksanaan program khusus pengembangan diri bagi peserta didik dengan hambatan fisik di SLB D YPAC Bandung. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Dengan partisipan enam guru yang mengajar peserta didik hambatan fisik dan satu kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program diawali dengan asesmen awal, namun dokumentasi hasil asesmen belum sistematis. Penyusunan program dilakukan oleh wali kelas dengan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan individu, meskipun tidak semua guru menggunakan format baku. Pelaksanaan program bersifat fleksibel dan terintegrasi dalam aktivitas sehari-hari, dengan kolaborasi terbatas antara guru, orang tua, dan tenaga ahli. Evaluasi program masih informal dan kurang memiliki instrumen penilaian yang terstandarisasi. Rekomendasi meliputi perlu pengembangan sistem dokumentasi terstruktur dan instrumen evaluasi standar untuk meningkatkan akuntabilitas dan keberlanjutan program pengembangan diri. Independence is a crucial aspect in individual development, enabling a person to live daily life without excessive dependence on other people. However, children with physical disabilities often face significant challenges in achieving independence, so a comprehensive personal development program is needed. This research aims to describe how a special self-development program is implemented for students with physical disabilities at SLB D YPAC Bandung. Using descriptive qualitative methods with a case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation studies. With participants, six teachers who teach students with physical barriers and one school principal. The research results show that the program begins with an initial assessment, but documentation of the assessment results is not yet systematic. The program preparation is carried out by the homeroom teacher by considering individual needs, although not all teachers use a standard format. Program implementation is flexible and integrated into daily activities, with limited collaboration between teachers, parents and experts. Program evaluation is still informal and lacks standardized assessment instruments. Recommendations include the need to develop a structured documentation system and standard evaluation instruments to increase accountability and sustainability of self-development programs.
