Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur pengaruh kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pencak silat terhadap karakter disiplin siswa SD. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest. Partisipan penelitian adalah 30 siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri Bangkir yang mengikuti pencak silat. Instrumen berupa angket skala Likert dengan 20 butir valid dari 25 dan reliabilitas Cronbach’s Alpha .706. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, dan Paired Samples T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata kedisiplinan siswa dari 64,93 (pretest) menjadi 79,23 (posttest), dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 22,02 %. Uji Paired Samples T-Test mengonfirmasi perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pencak silat memberikan dampak positif signifikan terhadap peningkatan disiplin siswa. Studi ini merekomendasikan pengintegrasian metode latihan yang lebih sistematis untuk memaksimalkan pembentukan karakter siswa melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di tingkat sekolah dasar. The research employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 30 fourth- and fifth-grade students from SD Negeri Bangkir who participated in Pencak Silat. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire with 20 valid items out of 25 and a Cronbach’s Alpha reliability score of .706. Data analysis included normality tests and the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed an increase in students' average discipline scores from 64.93 (pretest) to 79.23 (posttest), with an average improvement of 22.02%. The Paired Samples T-Test confirmed a significant difference (p < 0.05). The study concludes that Pencak Silat activities have a significant positive impact on students’ discipline development. This study recommends integrating a more systematic training approach to maximize character building through extracurricular sports activities at the elementary school level.
