Abstract
Rendahnya mutu pembelajaran di suatu jenjang pendidikan dapat disebabkan oleh
komponen sistem pendidikan yang tidak merata. Kurikulum merdeka dapat menjadi
alternatif yang dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa untuk
menghadapi persaingan abad 21. Keterampilan 4C (critical thinking,
communication, collaboration and creativity) bisa didapatkan siswa jika guru
menerapkan suatu model pembelajaran yang berinovasi dalam meningkatkan
kemampuan siswa. Dalam suatu pembelajaran, kemampuan kognitif siswa
memiliki peranan penting karena berkaitan dengan hasil belajar. Penerapan model
pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berupaya untuk
meningkatkan berbagai kemampuan siswa. Sebagaimana judul pada penelitian ini,
yaitu Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournament
dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control
group. Adapun tekntik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini
adalah tes pilihan ganda (multiple choice) berdasarkan indikator kognitif Bloom
dalam enam tingkatan kompetensi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelompok,
yakni kelompok eksperimen dengan diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran
Teams Games Tournament dan kelompok kontrol tanpa diberikannya perlakuan,
yang diambil dari kelas XI Jurusan Perhotelan di SMKN 15 Bandung. Hasil
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam
kemampuan kognitif siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan
kelompok kontrol. Temuan tersebut, dapat ditinjau dari nilai rata-rata sesudah
perlakuan sebesari 80,93 pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,13.
The low quality of learning at an education level can be caused by uneven
components of the education system. The independent curriculum can be an
alternative that can help improve student skills to face 21st century competition. 4C
skills (critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity) can be
obtained by students if teachers apply an innovative learning model to improve
student abilities. In a learning process, students' cognitive abilities play an important
role because they are related to learning outcomes. The application of the Teams
Games Tournament type cooperative learning model seeks to improve various
student abilities. As the title of this study, namely the Application of Teams Games
Tournament Type Cooperative Learning Model with the aim to improve students'
cognitive abilities. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a
nonequivalent control group design. The data collection technique used in this study
is a multiple choice test based on Bloom's cognitive indicators in six levels of
competence. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental
group with the Teams Games Tournament learning model treatment and the control
group without treatment, which was taken from class XI of the Hospitality
Department at SMKN 15 Bandung. The results showed that there was a significant
increase in students' cognitive abilities in the experimental group compared to the
control group. This finding can be seen from the average value after treatment of
80.93 in the experimental class and the control class of 70.13.
